I am writing this letter as a courtesy to the manager and franchise owner. There is literally a day and night difference with your McDonald's establishment. Morning shift though afternoon shiftâs (8:00am to 6:00pm) visits are usually your ordinary pleasant McDonald's experiences. After normal work hours there are very noticeable extreme differences. These nightshift McDonaldâs visits are single handedly the worst fast food experiences I ever encountered. I listed a few issues that many of my neighbors and myself have experienced. Sixty five percent of the orders are not correct with very low enthusiasm from crew or management to correct the issues.
Fifty percent of the time the food is not fresh and taste horrible. Stale fries, cold burgers, hard pies, hard chicken patties and I donât know how they did it, but sesame seed buns missing the majority of the sesame seeds.
While waiting in line for more than 20 minutes, on two separate occasions, I noticed that the male manager is more concerned with flirting with the female staff then tending to the customers and managing the quality of service.
A lot of times the food that is received via the drive though is just thrown in the bags. I noticed busted salad containers to unwrapped sandwiches with the contents spilling.
After midnight, the lobby is closed. Seventy percent of my drive-thru experiences during these times usually end up an unanswered visit, though all the signs clearly state that this is a 24hour establishment. Thinking that the intercom is not functioning correctly, I ride around to the window since some other locations use that method during the same circumstances. Even when I make eye contact with the employees they grin and ignore me. This actually happened again today and is the primary reason I am writing this letter. I understand that my needs might not be aligned with your establishmentâs priorities, but I noticed a flaw that does affect you. Your crew not servicing customers at night is the equivalence to paying your employees sit there and collect a free check.
Hope this letter triggers some much needed...
Read moreTonight was the worst experience I've ever had at a McDonald's. Ordered at the speaker pulled to first window. The girl working didn't say a word to me just took my payment then went back to what she was doing. I asked if I should pull forward or wait? She again doesn't say a work just points at the next window. So I pull forward. The guy working the second window also did not say a word to me. No greeting, no response to my greeting, nothing. I wish I could say I was exaggerating. Checked my bags and realized part of my order was missing. Parked and went inside. Stood at the counter waiting patiently while the two girls behind the counter finished their personal conversation then heard them briefly argue about who should turn around to assist me. The "loser" turned around and as i smiled and started to say Hello she raises her eyebrow at me and says, "Yeah...?" I asked for my missing item. She put it in my hand, without saying a word. Finally my patience was worn. I said, "I have interacted with 4 employees here tonight and not one of you have said a word to me." The two girls behind the counter laughed and said "okay, so..?" I said, "..so, the service here is horrible!" The two girls again laughed, one of them audibly said "DAMN" for all in the restaurant to hear. There were 3-4 other patrons at the counter at this point as well and several more seated at tables nearby. I was appalled and told this young girl, "wow, and now you're cussing behind the counter. No wonder you work at McDonald's."
It is important to note that I was friendly and polite up until this point. This was a group of teenagers working. I did not see an adult anywhere onsite. I understand that this is fast food. I understand that there ARE responsible teenagers. This group was not. This group of individuals should not have been left alone in a business without an actual mature adult manager. This type of behavior is not acceptable in the workplace regardless of the location, job title, or the...
Read moreMy experience was a fiasco from beginning to end. I was prompted to order when a push notification came through saying that if I spent $1.00 or more, I'd get free medium fries. I added the promotion to my order and order and paid. When I arrived, I could not find a mobile ordering pick up location, despite the app asking me what spot I was in. I ended up parking in the delivery pick up spot. When the server came out, she asked if I ordered the two slushies and I replied that I had, as well as fries. She said "no it's just two slushies". I explained that when I ordered through the app, I pushed the button indicating that I would like to add the promotion to my order. She responded with "well, it's not our fault. The order only came through for two slushies." I let her know that I wasn't planning fault, only that I would like my order. She asked to see my receipt, but before I could provide it, she said "can you move to those spots over there?" I (somewhat begrudgingly) complied. She went back in the store, came out several minutes later, and said "your order was only for two slushies. Sorry." I asked to speak to the manager (like really? After 10 minutes of my life being uselessly spent I'm now waiting to speak with a manager - what has my life come to?). She explained that the manager was busy talking to someone else. I said. "I'll wait." She went back in and a few more minutes later, she came back with a bag of extra large fries and said "the manger is still with someone, so I just brought you your fries." At this point, I nearly decided to wait for the manger anyway, but I don't have any more time to waste with this situation. I was spoken to as though I was personally trying to rob this employee of fries out of her freezer. She made it clear that I was annoying her and that she did not care that I had been bamboozled by the McDonald's app. I will not be returning to...
