It was my daughter’s birthday dinner (I had no idea your staff did not acknowledge one’s birthday – thanks for letting us know after we got there). We made reservations for 12 + two babies/highchairs and put in the notes that one baby was autistic and we needed seating away from the bar and entrance (noise). So imagine my surprise when I show up and my family is sitting directly next to the entrance ACROSS from the bar. When I asked why, my daughter pointed at THREE staff standing at the hostess station and said “they said they didn’t know anything about a party of 14 and just push those tables together.” I went to those now FOUR staff people and told them that the seating was not acceptable. The waitress said that they could clean up a large section and put the tables together and that she would be happy to wait on us (your waitress was very, very polite btw). And so the wait began.
She took our drink orders, and said she would put them at the new seating area, cleaned the immediately but then apparently, forgot about us. So after waiting 15 minutes (did I mention the babies) we took ourselves over to our new seating arrangement except it wasn’t arranged. My daughter, and two of our guests now spent another 10 minutes arranging tables with no success. I go back to the hostess station and encounter the same THREE staff plus another waitress (not ours). I VERY IRATELY tell them we cannot seem to get the tables together in a way that will seat us together and the ONE waitress said “oh no, let us do that” (I have no idea what those three staff people did for a job, but I can list a whole bunch of things they didn’t do as they never once helped us). The waitress put the table together and we sit and wait, and wait (I do not know where our waitress was) and wait (remember those toddlers – they were babies at the beginning of this email?) we have no drinks, no menus, no service (15 minutes btw). MY DAUGHTER WHO DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU goes up to the hostess station and ask for and receives 12 menus and two baby mats and crayons. I bet you’re wondering where those THREE staff at the hostess stations were right? Yeah they handed her the menus. I grab a random waitress and at this point I am teary eyed. I ask for the manager. He comes out and I explain the situation. He apologizes profusely, says there must have been a miscommunication but he’s there now. He says the apps and dessert are on them. From there on there was service and I thought okay let’s try to move on. The apps were timely, warm, and very tasty (or we were very hungry). AND THEN there was dinner
Orders were taken for all, but three members of my family. Remember those toddlers? Yeah well the staff didn’t. I asked for apple juices and after a 10 minute wait ONE SMALL WARM box was brought out. a few of us who were really not happy with our dinners. ( example - my sister, who originally posted, ordered a shrimp/chicken/pasta plate and when she picked up her piece of chicken, there was a slice of partially melted American cheese – nope not joking – on her plate) .The waitress brings us boxes to pack up our leftovers (wth – when did restaurants stop boxing your leftovers). The bill was $175 and tell her that we would like our desserts to go. she takes our dessert order and then comes back with my credit card and says she just wanted to show me the total with the desserts – it was now $235. I said no, your manager said apps and dessert were on you. She comes back and now my credit card is $214. She never explains why there was a difference and didn’t stay around for me to ask. I have not embellished ONE moment of my experience with your establishment. THIS REALLY HAPPENED It has been several days and I still get teary eyed at the dinner that was supposed to be a celebration. I promise you I will NEVER eat at your establishment again Disappointed and $214 lighter. Oh and you get error messege when trying to submit comment on...
Read moreMy family has been going to TGI for years, specifically this location. We have also experienced several changes in management over the years. However, when we went to get a bite to eat last night 3-1-18 we experienced the worst service ever from any rest. We have ever been to. We went in and made the host aware we would have a part of five and one was one the way, so we were asked to wait before being seated, which seemed strange to me since it was a week night and it was after 8:30pm and there was a 1/3 full dining area which means they were less than busy. We waited about 10 mins and then our 5th party member showed up.
Once we were seated there was only one set of utensils on the table and no waiter to be found until about 10 mins later. When our waiter finally came to our table the guy looked like he had been in a bar brawl. He was wearing extremely dark sunglasses (at 8:30pm in the middle of winter), his right arm was extremely inflamed and beyond his glasses you could tell his eye was messed up, like he had been in a fight. Now he could have been in an accident or whatever but the point was he was not dressed to wait on people. He also acted like he was on speed as he spoke quite quickly and seemed pretty anxious.
Finally we placed our order and mentioned we only had on set of utensils for 5 people. About 20 mins later I received a soup that went with my order, this would have been the only side. I have never ordered at TGI before especially when it was not busy and had to wait 20 mins for a side. Our meal came about 20 mins after that. The waiter came two times previous to reassure us our meal was coming. We eventually got our utensils just before our meal. I ordered their Parmesan crusted chicken salad as I almost always did and a cup of their broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was like milk with some veggies, which means it was not thick at all it was literally like drinking a cup of milk that was hot with some veggies in it. The chicken that was in the salad was so hard and dry I could barley eat it. It looked like it had been microwaved as the ends were so hard I could not even cut it with a knife.
All the other meals were okay, two meals were salmon and a sandwich the last one was chicken and pasta.
I can say I am extremely disappointed in who ever is managing this TGI Fridays and I WONT return again! Needless to say the waiter got a very small tip, which we are not sure was deserved more than it was who ever was running the kitchen. They obviously got the message as we have never left less than 15 or 20 tip until last night.
My message to who ever is managing this restaurant: You should have kept your previous job, maybe you were...
Read moreI want to share a little story about TGI Friday’s Everett. I can’t say how happy and thankful I am to have this restaurant in the city of Everett where we have a beautiful Encore casino! My experience with TGI Friday’s has been amazing my wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary on Christmas Eve after spending some time at the casino and this was the only place that was opened to grab a bite and some drinks after so we ended up sitting at the bar and noticed that it was a little busy but we still sat down. A few minutes later Brianna the bartender came over and mention that she was a little behind since she was the only one working the bar area, we told her not to worry that we understood and not to rush. After finishing up the other customers and the waiters waiting on drinks she came over and apologized and grabbed our order of drinks and appetizers. She repeatedly came over to ask us how we were doing and if we needed anymore drinks or apps and of course with the endless apps you have to keep ordering :) and the drinks she made is we’re amazing I wanted to thank her and her manager for having such a hard working person especially on a day that this was the only place open for business. We ended up coming back after the New Years on January 4th and we had Aaliyah as our waitress she was also amazing took our order and made our day by giving us what we wanted from the menu! I did notice that she was a little upset about the table across from us as they left a huge mess for her to lean up and no tip at all. I called her over and told her that I was going to leave a good tip because she was nothing but an amazing waiter and was always paying attention to us and our kids. Leah the manager comes over to Our table and thanked us for being so patient on Christmas Eve and on this day also. As a thank you she compliment us by giving our kids their meal on the house which was unexpected because we didn’t want nothing in return we know how hard these waiters and waitress work hard for their money. I do have to say though that maybe other staff in this restaurant would benefit from being te trained in treating the customers with a smile and be more friendlier as you walk in. The last two times I have come in the person at the front door both is always so grumpy and doesn’t even acknowledge you are there until you tell them how many are in our party. But overall I am satisfied with the service I have received both times from Brianna, Aaliyah and Leah.
Thank...
