Lavelle's Taphouse — Restaurant in Fairbanks

You know this place was incredibly busy due to the midnight sun festival and they did a pretty good job of kicking orders out and had great pours. They have a really cool scene and I really enjoyed my time there. Their online menu matches their wall menu and they ask you order by number to help facilitate speedy service. It’s pretty simple once you know that is what they want. They have a great selection of beers from all over the place, with some good Alaska ones too.

I’d give this place 5 stars if wasn’t for one the staff, they broke glasses like 5 times and someone made a joke of it and they threatened to kick them out or cut them off. Classy, young, and trendy hangout in downtown Fairbanks. The Taphouse serves a rotating variety of beers, ciders, and wines, the selection of which can be viewed in the Digital Pour app. The crowd tends to be younger and professional, almost like a sophisticated college pub atmosphere. Staff is warm and helpful and prices are on par with most locations in Fairbanks. Seating can be limited on the weekends when things get full. Parking is usually not an issue, it's adjacent to the downtown parking garage and in the evening most of the business parking is open (just don't park in a SpringHill Suites spot, they tend to be monitored). Slammed packed on Saturday nights! They had tons of beer options and even a few wines for all you wine lovers out there. I am personally not a fan of beer at all, but that night I tasted their Sour Berry beer - it was sweet and surprisingly fantastic. I had never enjoyed the taste of beer until that moment. There were quite a few places to lounge around and hang out with friend or make new friends. Their beer and wine list is ever changing so theres always something new to try and love.
