Champs Chicken — Restaurant in Fairplay

It's a small town, I'm happy that we have more choices with the opening of Champ's Chicken. The first day I came in it was buffet-style, not unlike a KFC. But they were out of chicken tenders. The second day, all the hot-food prep area was empty...but they had a warm case of pre-prepped foods and a couple things to choose from.

In short, I'm not sure what to expect when I come here and I don't know what's going on...but I hope they have the buffet up again soon. The quality of food is pretty good for gas-station chicken. I think I like all the sides a little more than the actual chicken. I've tried the potato wedges, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes.

But I've ordered 3 chicken sandwiches and all three had a harder crust on the bottom bun than the top, which leaves a lot to be desired. Go for the tenders (if they are available) or the dippers!

I'm hoping I can return and give a 5 star review once things are sort of figured out. The price is right, I think they are still just figuring things out as they...
