Family Dollar — Local services in Fairplay

We have been faithful patrons of the Fairplay Family Dollar since they opened. We have experienced the ups and downs of this store and the challenges of the employees and managers. Yesterday, December 6, 2022, I was in the store for the first time in quite a while after being out of state. I was amazed at the great condition of the store! The shelves were organized and fully stocked with care. No carts of merchandise were blocking the aisles. All employees were busy working hard to stock shelves and wait on customers with focus. The floors were clean from recent mopping. The manager, William (who I assume is the manager), asked if he could help me and I let him know how proud he and his employees should be of this great turnaround. Fairplay and South Park should also be proud of this store and I encourage locals and non locals to patronize this...

This store used to be run by nice people. Now they will send you home with an empty propane tank, because they don't know what they are doing. Have to drive 20 miles to get it filled correctly. They will also let your 4 year old scream because they won't let them use the restroom.....even though they have one. The one employee actually laughed at my child's pain and took her time to cash us out. Upon calling and asking if this was new policy she suggested to use the gas stations around, because the money you spend there is not worth helping a struggling child. No wonder this place is a mess. Slow evil people work here. Zero customer service......not worth giving these...

FINALLY!!!!! After living in Fairplay for over a year now, and having only this family dollar store the first 7 months, but it was a total DISASTER until recently they shut down, got rid of the entire staff, actually got a manager who MANAGES and does what is needed, got a whole new staff who are AMAZING, esp the new Manager, DM OR GM or whatever she is, but it really seems they are getting it in order fast, and I will finally be able to shop there again thank god!! Already in just about a week or so, they finally hv product on the shelf, the staff is super friendly and actually working my God its a new day at the Family dollar on Castello!!!...
