La Maison Bleue (RK Cafe) — Restaurant in Fairview

spending nearly 20 dollars on 2 drinks, i expected to get my money’s worth. i ordered a coffee for my sister and a matcha latte for myself. the coffee was reportedly strong and a balance of good flavor. i was offered a free mochi dessert that i gave to my mom, which was a great texture and flavor!

my strawberry matcha latte was gritty and had an “oily” texture. i’ll chalk up the oily texture to the finely milled matcha used, which im not used to. but the grittiness is hard to forgive, as it’s an amateur mistake you wouldn’t expect in a cafe. i also would have preferred having drink customizations when ordering on the kiosk, i knew i wasn’t going to like the matcha whipped cream but i couldn’t take it off.

i won’t be coming back to this location for matcha again. it’s a shame because i do love the desserts that they sell in the plano mitsuwa, but the price point and my first impression makes it...

I’ve been a loyal customer of La Maison Bleue since their very first location in Plano, and I was beyond excited to find out they opened a new spot inside The Revolving Kitchen in Fairview, TX, just minutes from me.

Their matcha is truly the most authentic and best-tasting I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’ve tried many. Every drink is perfectly balanced, smooth, and rich with real matcha flavor, not overly sweet or artificial like others. Whether it’s their signature iced matcha latte or their decadent whipped matcha drinks, I’m hooked every time.

On top of that, their desserts are absolutely divine. From delicate mochi to fruity rice treats and rich cakes, everything is beautifully made and full of flavor. You can tell there’s real passion behind their craft.

If you’re in the area or even if you’re not, La Maison Bleue is absolutely worth the trip. So thrilled to have them...

A very large food hall where la Maison bleue has a stall in the area. Their menu is only slightly different from the one at mitsuwa but overall the same. I got the deep strawberry matcha, and there was another matcha (I can't remember the name) that had a lavender foam with sea salt sprinkled on top. The deep strawberry matcha had a very strong matcha flavor that I loved. It wasn't bitter at all. The other matcha, the lavender taste was so subtle, I could barely taste it. Overall it just tasted like a regular matcha latte. The service was fast and the workers were nice!

Update: get the pistachio latte....
