Date: 2021 04-30 Restaurant: Wendy's Location: 4430 18th Ave SW, Fargo Rating (of 5): * (still, see Dec review below)
I placed a mobile order for a large fry. I arrived at the location and approached the drive-thru which had 6 cars in line. 7 min later I was at the speaker telling them I had a mobile order. 6 additional min later I received my order and pulled into a close parking spot. The fries were in a sealed paper bag, were hot but also completely limp and soggy. That was a long wait for soggy fries which had been in my possession for 20 seconds or less.
Also, 10-15 feet from the drive thru line, employees were at the backdoor of the store smoking which was blowing right into all the cars in line. Absolutely disgusting and shows the level of care to which this location aspires. No improvement since my last visit at this location in Dec.
Given the line, most people don't care if their food or experience is subpar and shows the level of care to which this community aspires.
Maybe they were all out-of-towners and didn't know better (it was a Friday and a location just off the freeway) but that's why you should check online reviews when traveling.
2020 12-21 (*) Ordered a junior cheeseburger, which was made correctly (if a bit wet--have to remember to get mayo on the side) and an order of Pub Fries. It was an extremely small amt of fries (think child size) and drenched in sauces. It was more like soup than hot fries drizzled with a creamy cheese sauce. And there was no utensils with which to eat them?! Come on, it's a 2 item order and it doesn't register that one of them requires a fork! After digging around my car I found a plastic spoon but by then the burger was cold and the fries were still warm but really soggy. Very disappointed, esp for a higher-priced premium memu item.
2020 02-00 (**) Cold burger, limp fries. I asked for, "hot fries" so, yes they were hot but they must have microwaved them. Total of 2 items ordered and they forgot...
Read moreI just went through the drive through and ordered a bacon baconator. According to everything I've ever heard and as specified on Wendy's website, a baconator has 2 beef patties and 6 pieces of bacon. I opened mine up and it was a sad site to see, 1 beef pattie and 2 pieces of soggy bacon. Went back in and asked if I could get what I ordered. The girl worker the counter argued with me and said what I had was a baconator and she needed to see my receipt. I told her I didn't have it on me and I just went through the drive through. Then I was told that I didn't specify that I wanted a double baconator, that's why I got my sad burger. The standard baconator has 2 patties. The ray of sunshine working the till was absolutely no help, so the guy who was working the drive through took over and was refunding me and getting ready to make me the correct thing. Mrs sunshine started arguing with him and asked him "when did you become supervisor"? He explained that he was a manager at another store and she snobbishly asked "well are you a manager here?" . Obviously this pissed the guy off so he left and told someone else to try to deal with her. The kid with the red dyed hair did a great job and showed more patience with Mrs sunshine than I ever could. I was finally given a proper baconator and I was out of there. I told someone who looked professional, maybe a supervisor, that the kid did a great job but I will never come back if Mrs sunshine is working. I've never had to fight so hard for a baconator in my life and it definitely wasn't worth my time. I would urge anyone to go to a different location unless you're in an emergency for some food. This was definitely the worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant and it was all because of Mrs sunshine. Is it worth losing customers to keep her...
Read moreWent around 9:00 p.m. and the line for the drive-thru was very long. At first, I thought it had something to do with the weather but I think it was the employees inside who were kind of slow and maybe overwhelmed with a sudden influx of customers. I also assumed another reason was because we were in the middle of a really bad thunder and lightning storm. I haven't ever had experienced this type of slowness with this particular Wendy's before.
We ordered a burger, fries and drink for one passenger and then a large Chili only to be told to they were out of it. I felt disappointed because this is the first that's ever happened. Due to stomach issues I can only tolerate soups, chili's and stews and with no chili, I was out of luck since I forgot to buy or make extra soup at home.
This is one of the nicer restaurants as well as a open later fast food places which stays open past 9:00 p.m. in the Fargo Moorhead area. Having Wendy's open later since it provides more options of food choices yet it gets a bit ridiculous trying to find somewhere to eat that isn't McDonald's. But even they are closing early these days.
I would recommend this Wendy's but just don't come at 9:00p.m assuming there will be chili and a few other things you are craving. I suppose one could also say that's a sign of a good menu choice and place to eat since the food goes fast.😁. Value is excellent as with the portion size. Plus it's very close to the freeway that makes it convenient if you happen to be traveling and want a quick place. (Granted this particular night wasn't their norm in...
