I normally love Five Guys. I've never had a problem with any other location. This was the first and probably last time I'll visit the Fenton restaurant. I ordered a little cheeseburger (meaning 1 patty) with grilled onions, pickles, and barbecue sauce with a side of a small fry. Three different times the cashier tried to upsell me to a drink or a shake. I said no each time but she was incredibly persistent and annoying about it. My total came to &11.56. The burger I received was very disappointing. The meat had little to no flavor. The onions were totally raw, they hadn't even touched the grill. And to top it off, the cheese that I paid the extra little bit for, wasn't even there. I had a specific craving for a CHEESEburger, and I don't eat out often so this was a bit of a splurge. I did get a lot more fries than I was expecting, but they were just okay. More than half were soggy with excess oil. I had to eat in my car to make it back to work on time, so I wasn't able to bring it to their attention. When I spend nearly $12 on just a burger and fries, I expect it to be perfect. Especially when I've received the same product from a different location, but prepared 100% better. They really missed the mark...
Read moreI don't normally leave reviews, but there are some things I like and some things that concern about this 5 guys. First, let me say I enjoy the burgers, fries and shakes. I do get a lot of food, and maybe that's why it's so expensive in my opinion, but it just seems steep. Today I went and asked for a cheeseburger, and they automatically presumed I wanted a double cheeseburger that would have been about $8.29 ala carte. I asked the lady for a single patty cheeseburger, and she asked me if I wanted bacon, and that sounded good, so I got one bacon cheeseburger, small fry and a malt shake, for a grand total of $15.77 then $17.20 with taxes. Another thing that bothers me about 5 guys is the music, it's too loud for this type business. I don't see the need to have the volume up, especially up above the register where I'm ordering. Other than that, I like 5 guys, but the price will make me...
Read moreburger was great but the girl, who tried to be very helpful, left out some very key facts. I thought a "little" or small burger was for children. I said we don't want the kids burger, we'll have 3 other the larger ones. She never said it's NOT a kids burger so my wife and 12 yr old were stuck sitting there with a GIANT double burger. It sounds weird to complain but it was WAY too many fries and the bill, with guilt tip added in, was over $60 for 3. That's really high compared to Steak N Shake or Freddy's and that's where we'll be going from now on. I also didn't see 5 Guys was on the UPSIDE app until later and it wouln't let me submit for almost $15 back... they were offering 28% back... crazy and maddening. They also didn't seem to have a dine-in option. Took bags of food to a table, that was awkward but it gave us an extremely...
