This was the first time we have ever been to this location and we were quite disappointed. When we walked in, no one was at the hostess stand. We had to wait several minutes to even be acknowledged. We got to the booth and was greeted by a nice young lady. Unfortunately, she couldn't answer our questions. We ordered drinks and a margarita. She brought the drinks out promotion but was underage so she couldn't bring the margarita. We ordered the quesadilla burger and the southwest chicken bowl as well as pretzels for an appetizer.
The pretzels were brought first. Hot and dress however the dijon mustard left something to be desired. That doesn't belong with pretzels. Stick with the cheese.
Then we got our dinner, fairly quickly. We still had not received the margarita. We had to say something or we never would have received it. I have to say, the food was gross. It was hot, sure, but disgusting.
So, let's start with the quesadilla burger. It presented well but was overrun with onions and cilantro. That's all you could taste. It was quite inedible. I managed to choke down almost half of it but couldn't take the incredibly overpowering onion and cilantro taste. That's all there was. No cheese. No burger. No "bun". Nothing else. I endeqd up scraping everything off and giving the burger to my dog. The cheese was barely melted as well.
Then the Southwest bowl. It didn't present as well and the guacamole looked as though it was 2 days old. It might have been good but it was impossible to tell through the incredible heat. It was so spicy it was inedible. He loves spicy but this was closer to the Paqui one chip challenge heat. He couldn't eat much and he was just done. I refused to even try it because I know I can't take the level of heat he can. Since he couldn't eat it, I knew I probably wouldn't survive one bite. He was sweating it was so hot. That's ridiculous. Why would they make a dish so spicy? We were also mad because nowhere does it say it's supposed to be spicy. There were also several lime wedges buried throughout the bowl. WHAT?
Lastly, the margarita had ZERO alcohol in it. I mean none. This is the second time in as many trips we have had a bad experience with an Applebee's and both times it was the food. The service has been fine. The food has sucked. What's going on? I don't know if we will ever return . So far, the only thing worth it are the endless boneless wings. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is the waitress...
Read moreI went here on a Friday after work, and the place was surprisingly not very busy. I ordered the all you can eat riblets, shrimp and chicken fingers. It took awhile but my first order of riblets came to my table hot. Now I've had riblets before but these riblets were tough and hard to get off the bone. I was served three small racks of the initially and as the server was about to leave I asked for an order of shrimp. I finished my riblets and fries, and the waiter came by and asked if I needed anything else... anything else? How about the shrimp I asked for ten minutes ago? I actually asked for the shrimp nicely, and ten minutes later I am served five shrimp on a plate. Five shrimp?! As the server is dropping those off I asked for chicken fingers. Another ten minutes later I get served three of the tiniest chicken fingers I've ever seen. The server ask me if I need any sauce for the chicken, and I politely ask her for a sauce. Guess what? I got the sauce ten minutes after I requested it (I had to remind the server after she returned to my table without the sauce). Determined that I would be able to enjoy my all you can eat dinning experience, I ask for riblets. Fifteen minutes later I am served one and half (that's right, a half) small racks of riblets (for size comparison, these racks are about five inches long and two inches wide). The server also seemed to give off the vibe that she was not happy bringing me anything else. That was all I could take with this location. Listen, If you're going to advertise all you can eat, then give people a reasonable experience with reasonable wait times and reasonable portions. This was more like an all you can wait, so Applebee's can get you out with as little given to...
Read moreTonight, my family and I stopped by this Applebee’s after a long day, and we were in need of a warm meal.
We were seated immediately, and greeted by our waitress, Tee. She provided some of the most warm, friendly, and punctual service we’ve experienced in food service in a long time. She made sure that we- and the tables around us- were taken care of and had everything we needed. On our way out, I had to stop and monitor my heart rate (I’ve recently had major surgery), and she stopped to make sure we were okay and even talked to us for a bit just to be sure that we were going to be all right. Her kindness alone will be the main reason that we return to this restaurant very soon.
My mother and I ordered two of the cranberry lemonade vodkas and they were both very good, with quick service from the bar. For our appetizer, we had the spinach and artichoke dip with chips, and the dip was hot and flavorful with fresh chips (I’m very picky about stale chips, there were not).
For dinner, I ordered the half rack of ribs, and it was cooked perfectly, everything still hot when it came out, and the broccoli was steamed to perfection. My fiancé ordered the 8oz. steak rare, which we sometimes have trouble getting cooked right, and it was perfect. His sides were seasoned outstandingly and hot as well. My mother ordered the triple meat fajitas (special order, no green peppers due to allergies but asked to please still have grilled onions) and she absolutely loved her meal.
We’re very happy to have stopped here tonight and I will definitely recommend this Applebee’s for its staff’s...
