MOTW Coffee and Pastries — Restaurant in Fishers

My friend and I used to love coming to this coffee shop until we stopped getting the quality service we used to get. We started off going to the Castleton location where the service and quality was amazing, specifically from one worker who was a guy with red hair. However, this one specific young lady started working there in the mornings, everyday. At first, our interactions with her were good. We would make conversation with her and the quality of the drinks were amazing. After a while, it seemed like she stopped caring. As you can tell in the pictures, she does not fill our drinks all the way. I provided pictures of the top to prove we hadn't taken a drink yet. She started lying about how the shaker was broken and wasn't able to make the foam that goes on the brown sugar shaken expresso. It was a whole week or two she was saying this when one day the red headed guy told us it was never broken. When talked about it to another worker, she claimed that the barista most not like us. Whether she likes us or not, she works in costumer service which means she should be providing everybody with good quality service and drinks. It is costumers service for a reason. When trying to reach out to MOTW, I never got a response back the first time which lead me to reach out again a second time through a different source. They said they would talk to her and when I responded, they simply liked my message and never responded. It is obvious that no actions have been taken as she again didn't fill our drinks. I get that everyone has their bad days but it happens every time we go and this person is working. We would hate to stop going to MOTW but we will since the quality of the service has yet to improve. I’ve been to a couple of the MOTW locations now and each time I’m so pleased with the service. I’ve seen customer service go downhill at big coffee chains, to the point where baristas often don’t even say “hello”, make eye contact or thank me after making a purchase. These are basic courtesies, especially in the food and hospitality industries, that I would expect when I choose to spend my money supporting a business. MOTW seems to understand this and their employees are always friendly yet efficient, knowledgeable, patient and professional.

The drinks are outstanding as well, especially if you try one of their signature drinks with flavors such as rose and cardamom.

And the baklava- wow! Some of the very best I’ve had anywhere (and I’ve tried many!)

Overall, MOTW is a great local business and one I’m happy to support. My only suggestion would be to open earlier in the mornings for the early work crowd. I’m usually on the road to work by 6:00 am and I’d much rather take my coffee order to MOTW over the competition...

UPDATE: Went in today to get my once favorite drink but found out it IS NOT VEGAN! Even though I was informed that it was on my first visit. But this time I set and watch the guy making it and he grab a Aldi's red cartoon of heavy cream getting ready to make my strawberry cold foam with it. I said what are you doing that's not VEGAN/NON-DAIRY. He said this is what I have to use. I said no. The last person that made my drink did not use that unless they done so while I wasn't looking! Not going back super upset!!! Deceiving! And it's to expensive to not get what you asked for and to be deceived.And the guy that worked there laughed and chuckled like it was funny. They don't take food restrictions seriously and that is a dangerous thing as many are allergic and can not have this. Please be aware!!!!
