I saw a 2024 grad cake on the socials. I went in person to the store to order, and the helper and another helper had no idea what I was talking about. I showed them the picture. That was the beginning of the end. The picture was blue and gold…I needed red and green. I went in circles a few times with her about it. I felt like we had it—-she kept saying just like the picture. I kept saying yes, the shape of the numbers…but with our school colors. Red and green. She even called to ask not 2 minutes after I left the store…confirming blue and gold. I was like NO. RED AND GREEN. When I arrived to pick up my order the day of the party, it was blue and gold. The workers could not have cared less. zero offer to make it right with a fix, a refund, anything to make my expensive special day cake right. I went to my car, and then went back and and asked to speak to a manager. She scraped the wrong icing off and put the correct on, but I could still see flecks of the original wrong icing. I am a life time Taylor’s gal, all of my birthdays growing up, even my wedding cake. All of my kids’ birthdays. When a friend had a birthday, they all know I’m getting a cake. This is one of the rare and exceptional places where the owner goes out of her way and go the extra mile to ensure complete customer's satisfaction. this is one of the rare and exceptional places where the owner, even when she is busy, can take the time to talk to you, listen to you, and even bake and decorate your cake herself to ensure your utmost satisfaction. Today I picked up a cake for my wife's birthday that was baked and designed by the owner. I am honored to say that cake was perfection itself and the most delicious cake that we've ever had. It was a 10 in round cake with a layer of white vanilla and a layer of lemon flavor, with raspberry filling. Wow, wow wow! That cake was so beautiful and delicious. We all felt in paradise eating that cake. We used to Taylor’s Bakery to cater a small cake and donuts for our wedding. I can't say enough good things about Taylor’s Bakery. They've been around for over 100 years and it's clear they have it figured it out. We put in our order 2 weeks before the wedding, the whole process took less than an hour, and was very affordable. They even had a donut stand we could rent, when other bakeries typically require you to purchase/rent your own. This made everything so easy for us. We ended up with a small carrot cake with custom Harry Potter decorations on it and a variety of donuts and donut holes for our guests. Taylor’s staff arrived at the venue on time and helped set up the donut stand. This was one of the biggest hits at our wedding, as you would expect everything tasted delicious!
