Joejoebobs — Restaurant in Flagstaff

Yet another stellar Flagstaff food experience. Tucked away in a strip mall by a Basha’s, Joejoebob’s is a deli sandwich lover’s dream. From the soft-yet-bitey French bread to the composition of the sandwiches, it won’t disappoint. I had the falafel sandwich (#4) and my partner had the tuna sandwich (can’t remember the number off the top of my head—I didn’t come prepared to this review, fam). The falafel sandwich had crumbled falafel pieces (which was ideal, because it made it super easy to eat), pickled onions, chopped pickles, tomatoes, and an herby sauce. The tuna had hearty pieces of high-quality tuna (no water chicken of the sea here), sweet pickled onions, and other crunchy, fresh veggies. Plus, I’m a big fan of a sandwich that is wrapped with functionality in mind (one that doesn’t get all over you), and these both checked that box! Joejoebobs is one great sandwich shop. It’s in an old Subway location but it is at the polar opposite of the sandwich spectrum. They have very creative sandwich options and use top quality ingredients.

The menu is not long but they cover all of the bases from vegan to tuna to cold cuts to Reuben, so everyone can find something to their liking. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and portions.

I had the #3 which was delectable mortadella sandwich and my wife had the #6 which is their take on Reuben using a couple of improvements: beef cheek (super tender) and kimchi (complexity). We split them and devoured both.

It is located in the Bashas center just outside of downtown. This makes parking and access so much easier!...

Stopped by this unassuming sandwich shop for a quick bite before a long drive because I wanted something different from the usual chain sandwich shops. I'm so glad I did.

The sandwich I got was their duck special, and it was far and away the best sandwich I've ever purchased. Unique mix of ingredients, everything was fresh and perfectly prepared, and (most importantly) it was absolutly delicious. The price was comparable to any other sandwich place, but the quality was no contest. Truly an artisan sandwich
