I’m so disappointed. I love pizzicletta, but now having tried Sosta for breakfast lunch and dinner I can safely say this place is not on the same par.
Breakfast Sammy was pretty good. Lunch BLT was dry and like, I’m sorry, but I can make a better sandwich at home. Bean soup was terrible. Dinner pasta was horrible. Pizza was good, of course. And I really loved the Pims Cup Mocktail.
Service was great for breakfast with a couple of the women bringing pup cups for all the dogs on the patio. Then dinner service was perfectly pleasant. But lunch service was not good. I brought my friend for a late (2:30) lunch and really wanted her to try the Pima cup mocktail I loved. Tried to order that and the kid at the counter said they only serve that after 3pm. I said “so I cannot have it now?” And he said “no.” That’s it. Haha. I’m sorry but that is the worse customer service move. So you have to follow this arbitrary rule and you will not serve me the only thing I actually like at this restaurant because it’s 30 minutes too early? It’s not like there weren’t people to make it. I was staring right at 3 separate people making drinks and what not behind the counter. And even if there was some good reason they weren’t able to make it 30 minutes early, maybe tell me why instead of say “no”.
I don’t think I’ll waste my money...
Read moreI will be absolutely shocked if SOSTA doesn't end up being THE hotspot to eat in Flagstaff. We just ate there and I WISH they had a location in Scottsdale. On second thought, dining with patrons from Scottsdale would have probably ruined the experience - so check that... I digress...The Flagstaff vibe, environment, warmth, and overall energy is OFF THE CHARTS. The food was unbelievably original and delicious, especially for how affordable it is. Frankly, it's a steal. I briefly spoke with one of the owners who stated the goal was "really good food everybody could afford." Mission accomplished. There is literally nothing I could think of to improve upon. The space alone was so interesting and inviting it was just a great place to be. As always, the core is the staff and people who work there. They want to be there, and they want to ensure your experience it top notch. My advice is get there immediately and experience it for yourself before the word gets out and the reservations are days out. Run, don't walk, to Sosta. You will not be disappointed. Now it's time for me to find out how much it would cost to charter a helicopter from Phoenix to Flagstaff to get back there on the frequent! Hurry up with that freeway expansion ADOT!! Sosta makes it...
Read moreWe came in for a lunch date, and loved the building, we parked on the road to make it easier as I didn't think they would have a parking lot but they do, with quite a large lot for parking. Walking in we were greeted right away asking if we had been in before and since we hadn't, we were directed to the menus, and started talking to the employee about a food allergy. She immediately offered to ask the cooks about the risk and assured us that there wouldn't be any cross contamination. We went to the seating area to look at the menu and decided on our dishes. Went to place our order and talked with the same employee who recommended some dishes and then a glass of wine. We were amazed at how well the food tasted, the wine was wonderful, the room was cozy with the fireplace going. Overall we were really impressed with Sosta and already bragged to friends and family about our experience. We will definitely be back in at some point. Thank you Sosta and staff for an...
