I was rather disappointed upon returning here. I remember liking it very much. It was a fun, hidden treasure, not to mention delicious. However, it appears to have gone up in price, and down in quality. My brisket sandwich was nearly flavorless. I went for the moist, which resulted in a slice of meat with the consistency of lumpy gelitin. The only flavor I could detect was the BBQ sauce, which I liked. I expected the brisket to be doing the heavy lifting on flavor though. The bread was just the standard little, bland bun you can get from the grocery store. The Mac n Cheese side I watched being cooked in the microwave just before being brought to the table. Unfortunately it tasted like microwave Mac n Cheese, which wouldn't bother me at home, but it did here. It mattered especially after I looked at the small, flavorless sandwich of fat that was unceremoniously plopped down next to it on the tray. It mattered after I remembered the $20 it cost. That's when my disappointment began. It wasn't that I couldn't eat the food, just for the price, I don't think I ever will again. It doesn't help that I really enjoyed going here for years. I'm not a local, so I don't know when the switch happened. I'll probably still go check on it next time I'm in town. I'm not expecting it to shut down tomorrow. I just know I won't be paying that kind of money...
Read moreWe had originally planned on a different restaurant but couldn’t find any parking near it so we changed plans and came here! We did have a lot of trouble finding it as it’s downstairs at the old town shops and there’s no signs. I got a two meat plate with pulled pork and ribs, both were amazing! I unfortunately couldn’t eat the coleslaw as it had jalapeños in it and I don’t handle spice well. But the beans and mashed sweet potatoes were amazing! I started with the potato salad but it was spicy to me as well,so they graciously let me switch it for the mashed sweet potatoes,I highly recommended them! My fiancé got the buffalo chicken sandwich and loved it! He said it was perfect but it wasn’t as spicy as he would have liked but he has a really really high spice tolerance. He got fries which were cooked perfectly. I got a prickly pear margarita with a salt rim and it was perfect, the salt was perfect with the sweet drink. I also really enjoyed their sweet tea,it was the perfect amount of sweetness and tea. You could taste both which I love. We visited on 10/19/24 at around 8 pm and everyone working that night was absolutely amazing! And...
Read moreTo begin....this restaurant is very rustic and it has a cabin type feeling in the atmosphere. Like taking a trip in to the past yet zooming in to future. The meals prepped was the Skirt Steak with chipotle cheese and pico de gallo....with a side order of fries.this meal was super savory, from the first bite. The meat was tender and seasoned to perfection....The second meal was the chicken tender with a side order of fries...the chicken strips were tender and crispy...well built combination with a side order of blue cheese and macaroni and cheese. The main ones I have to give credit to is Julia (amazing and beautiful tender) and Jason ( The DON...Manager. ) they looked and made sure our visit was welcoming and filling. There is so much to admire once you take the time to eat at the Bare Foot Restaurant. This is a must go to stop..whether hungry or looking for some time to admire the oldies and trinkets of the once known period of time. I will definitely be returning to this establishment in the near future. I loved everything about this...
