This is by far THE BEST burgers in the western hemisphere ! Not too small, or too big, the fries are awesome.
Update on 9/29/20 Im downgrading the stars from 5 to 1 for customer service. Food is still good The best burger in Flagstaff and why I will NEVER go back.
When covid hit, I decided to support the local economy. I decided to support these guys. The lines are often long and with my job driving and delivering, then having to drive back to Phoenix, every minutes counts.
I would call and places my order over there phone and patiently waited. I did that a dozen times and even left a 20 dollar tip on a 11 bucks burger.
One day, I called and got no answers. I was really close, so when I got there the lines of cars was long already. I thought they were just busy, scribbled on a piece of paper what I wanted, and went to the door with my debit card and gave it to a young lady.
I was not expecting preferential treatment, I was ok being at the end of the line. Shortly the after a guy comes and begins to literally give me the right act !! Telling me that this is not how they work over here, (this was the same guy who I gave the 20 tip by the way). Told me that they didn't answer the phone when they are busy, and to basically (not his words but close) to get lost. How was I supposed to know they didn't answer the phone on busy days when they always have done all the other times.
I haven't been back there in over 2 months, and will not, but they do have the best burgers ever. Too bad they have to have some disrespectful employees.
Im out... freddy's is on my way out of town and their fries...
Read moreIt's a seat yourself kind of joint, which I have no issue with. You have the option of sitting outside, sitting at a table inside, or sitting at the bar inside - I chose to sit at the bar. Unfortunately the bar counter was quite sticky, but I wasn't that bothered by it. The decor was like most burger joints, 50's inspired, it was cute but not anything special. I did enjoy when I went to the restroom and found a Wonder-Woman sign on the ladies room door, and a Super-Man sign on the men's, the geek in me was quite pleased.
I ordered their "MOAB" burger. For a burger called the Mother Of All Burgers, she lived up to the name. The combination of flavors on this burger were a bit bizarre, but my taste buds were extremely happy. I was however disappointed that my bun kept falling apart, I do highly suggest bigger buns, especially for a beauty like the MOAB. The MOAB has layer after layer of juicy, savory, flavorful goodness and the bun matched with it just doesn't hold things together. It was extremely difficult to eat this burger with my bun issues, but with the taste of this burger - none of that mattered. And the milkshakes! It has been quite some time since I've had a shake that good. The selection of shake options is ridiculous and amazing, I digged it. I decided to go with an old fashion chocolate shake for my first visit, I was VERY pleased. The shake had just the right amount of thickness, and chocolatey goodness. I will be dreaming of this shake tonight.
This place isn't perfect, it's kind of a hole in the wall diner, but it's definitely worth the visit. I would...
Read moreNew to Flagstaff, and I loved everything about this spot! I get cheeseburger cravings all the time, and a friend recommended this restaurant when I had “sampled” aka stole (ha!) a few of their fries outa her to-go box left on the kitchen table. Impressive that a small local biz can compete against the fast food chains. That’s rare! I got the chulula burger, which was just spicy enough to get that little thrilling tingle, but didn’t have me choking. These are the right size too, cuz I tend to have a smallish appetite & other places stuff too much bulky meat in their burgers. It washed down pleasantly with Barq’s root beer (which is the best brand, in my humble opinion). The price was low; the quality & freshness, high! The music hit the spot, also! Classic rock!! One last detail about the service itself, that particularly struck me: I couldn’t help but notice the customer in line right ahead of me (who was a senior citizen & seemed to maybeee have some sort of speech impediment or mental illness?) was treated SO kindly by the cashier taking his order. She was very sweet & patient with him, even while he was fumbling with his wallet; made eye contact & genuinely smiling while he was making up his mind what he wanted to eat. Moments like THAT honestly convince me, I’d much rather spend my money here where they employ thoughtful human hearts vs. somewhere else that would prioritize getting the food out quick as possible, over caring for their guest. 100% check this place out! —Sat....
