Firehouse Subs Houston Shoppes — Restaurant in Florence

Wow... I haven't eaten here since the place closed a while back, and I won't be again. It's such a shame, they really used to have great food. I watched the ladies making my sub comment on how the other lady "cut it to thin and it just fell apart", slid it out of the oven and onto the paper, and sat it into the box... That is 8" long, and had room on either side of the sandwich. Funny how they can do that to a 12" sub. There was about three times the sauce on it as there should have been (that tasted the exact same as 'Ragu' sauce), four meatballs that all had a strange, rubbery, rebounding springyness to them. If you took the side of a metal fork and tried to split one, you could press it all the way flat against the table, and the meatball tried to fire out the side of the intended cut. I tried this on the second and third of the 4 meatballs, because after the how the first one tasted, I knew I wouldn't be consuming any more of them. The atmosphere of the place is as disappointing and vacant as the flavor of the food. The only sound you hear is the distant humming of a refrigerator, the smacking of mouths from others who have given this place money, and the banter of the people you just paid over $10 to make your sandwich fall apart. Seriously, no music at all? I sit here, looking at the failed food item, saddened but also certain that I will never come to this establishment again. I have never had such a terrible experience at a fast food restaurant in all my life . Ordered my sandwich with no mayo , received sandwich and it had mayo on it , my wife took the sandwich back to them to get it made again at which point the girl behind the counter said “did you order it that way “ my wife said “yes” thats why im back up here , then the so called manager “missy” comes to the table and questions us about how we ordered the sandwich and again she was told it was ordered with no mayo . She then says Im not doubting how you ordered it , I then said then why are you standing here questioning me to which her reply was “I dont have to put up with this ! Get out of my store” to which I replied “then give me my money back “ so she refunded me both sandwiches on top of losing on the one she re-made . Very , Very poor manager bad attitude ! They are rude. They don’t say you’re welcome or thank you. They tell you on the phone that you can redeem your points when you come in and give them your phone number but then when you give them your phone number at the cash register, they look at you like you’re freaking idiot so Make sure you order on the app and add your points that way because they do not I repeat do not help you in anyway even when you call in a $60 order when I have 22,000 points I wanted to add to my order she said oh yeah you can add it when you get here Don’t think that you can use your points in store because you obviously cannot and they will not tell you that!!!!!!!!!!!
