My first experience was Taco Tuesday. On my way in to the store I met with 2 separate customers each carrying large bags of food. I asked both how is the food. The first person said she hasnt found a thing that she didnt like. The second was a man, he said it was the best he ever had. I met a friend there from church and we know where the "great Mexican food" is to be found in 3 towns in our county. We each ordered something different. On our first bite of food, we both went yum and totally loved whar we ordered. I ordered a burrito to take home later for supper and had my free taco for lunch. After church on Sunday, i took a different friend from church. She got one taco. I tried the potato taco and a fllour taco. The potato taco is amazing! The taco shell is made from potatoes! Comes out of the kitchen hot and crunchy like a potato chip! Smells and tastes wonderful! I tried the spicy beef filling and the man filling my taco asked for me to let him know before i left to let him know how i liked it or not. It was a little spicy and had a slight sweet taste along with the heat. After i finished my tacos i went back and told him, that if he quit making the spicy beef i would stop going in there! It was that good! The iced tea dispenser has a Southern Sweet tea section to choose from!!!! Thank you Chronic Taco for taking our regional taste for tea into consideration! Service was chaotic because it was taco tuesday, but Sunday things calmed down the serving line flowed smoothley!! Every one was so nice and patient! Breakfast tacos are served all day. One wall has this wild mural!! Definitely not the traditional mural but still very interesting! I am gathering the "foodies" from church so we can all go together as a group!! THE FOOD IS...
Read moreDont waste your money. All they do is to fill your burrito with rice and beans. The amount of meat is this really tiny cup. The cup also has chicken stuck in the bottom. It doesnt come out. So this little scoop of chicken Isnt even full. I honestly dont think its 1oz of chicken. Even my 10 year old said dad where is the chicken. You get nothing. AVOID THIS PLACE To the owners response. All though your response was nice. You clearly danced around the main problem. Its called a CHICKEN burrito. Not a rice and bean burrito. Big portions of RICE & BEANS are not what Im paying 10 dollars for. I want CHICKEN in the burrito. And I have only been there twice. And both times you put NO CHICKEN in it. Like I said In the beginning. Its not even 1 oz of chicken. FIX the problem. To everyone who reads this post. Did you notice the owner has not responded a second time. Its because they know there serving VERY SMALL amounts of meat in the burrito and of course they dont want to admit it. They just want to fill it with rice & beans. With that said my son wanted a chicken burrito and my wife was at Home goods yesterday so she walked down and got a Chicken burrito to go. When she got home I opened it and I wish I took a picture but again the same thing. 3 burritos at different times and honestly its about a 1/8 cup of chicken. People we all work hard and when we buy something we want the feeling that we got something in return that was worth our money. You will not get that there, CRONIC TACO SUCKS. We will never go back. People go...
Read moreI had a truly disappointing and concerning experience at Chronic Tacos that raises serious questions about food safety and customer service.
While eating my rice bowl, I discovered a sharp, rigid object in the rice - what appears to be a piece of hard plastic. It was translucent, triangular, and clearly not food. When I brought this to the staff's attention, one employee casually stated it was "tomato skin." Moments later, another claimed it was "onion." These contradictory explanations made no sense, especially considering the sharp angles and texture of the item. I've eaten plenty of tomato and onion in my life - this was neither.
What bothered me even more than the foreign object itself was how staff handled it. There was no apology, no offer to replace the meal, and certainly no concern for the potential hazard. Had I swallowed it, this could have led to a medical emergency. Instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the issue, the employees gave inconsistent excuses and shrugged it off.
I took photos and kept the object as proof. As a paying customer, I expect more that just edible food - I expect safe food and respectful service. Chronic Tacos failed on both fronts. I won't be returning, and I advise others to think twice before...
