Take a moment to see that I EASILY give a five star review. I have written MANY reviews, and it takes A LOT for me to give one star. CUSTOMER SERVICE is EVERYTHING and in this case… it was everything it SHOULDN’T BE. Hopefully the owners will read and reply in a way that shows they care.
Service- THIS Where ZERO stars are given. The woman serving my husband and daughter approximately 11 am today 8/15/22 didn’t even crack a smile or care to show appreciation for their patronage. They were so exited and eager to go and experience this shop!!! When they walked in, she was already being VERY rude to an older customer she was trying to help when they arrived. She was very impatient and belittling to the older lady that was having trouble with the electronic payment system. Then it came to our turn. My husband told her he was probably getting 8 donuts and she started packing them up as he and my daughter picked them. She stared at them (more like eagle eyed and hovered over them) very awkwardly and uncomfortably the entire time they were trying to make their selection. They were having a hard time choosing because it was their first time there. After careful thought… they decided on 7 donuts instead of 8. She answered back frustrated that she had to put one back, “you said you were getting 8!” Then proceeded to tell him he should just get a dozen while making an obviously annoyed face!! She seemed bothered by them and angry the entire time. Mind you we’re are on vacation and excited to give local businesses our money instead of franchises or bigger chains. Sadly this place isn’t deserving of our hard earned money. The lady was so ungrateful.
The product- All the baked goods were VERY eye appealing and the taste was good. A little overpriced BUT we understand the cost of a brick and mortar establishment so we won’t complain We are on vacation so much more willing to splurge on a novelty item like this anyway. I cannot take away that they rightfully earned so 5 stars given that the apple fritter and croissant with Nutella were tasty and well made. My kids enjoyed a variety of other donuts as well. Sadly the product isn’t worth the awful service.
IF YOU GO —— Set your expectations LOW! You might get great customer service and rate them higher. I sure wish our experience was better so I could rate my OVERALL experience five stars like I usually do when I walk out happy. This time we walked out confused how this person could be so rude!!!
If you are the owner or the person that serviced my husband and daughter today…he’s the one that told you “BE KIND!” It’s important that you know that your overall rating is a result of your customer service which was AWFUL!
We wish you the best and hope your business survives, but the service HAS to change! Clearly we are not the only ones that...
Read moreDisappointed is all I can say. I had been following the Instagram ads from this place for awhile and was waiting for it to open. The donuts are really nice looking and they have a lot of vegan options plus the people who own it were quite nice in the way they served that’s the only reason I am giving them the 2nd star rather than just one. But the donuts and other sweet pastries were simply not good. I had the vegan raspberry chocolate, the chocolate mouse and strawberry, the Nutella with powdered sugar, the chocolate caramel and an Apple fritter. I can honestly say that not one of these donuts was good. The dough used for all the ones that aren’t vegan is tough and feels old like a dunkin donut at night. The vegan dough was a little better because it was a bit softer and felt fresher and the other ones. One of my favorite baked goods is an apple fritter and her it was absolutely saddening, not soft on the bite the glaze tasted old and the apple cinnamon flavor was just ok at best. All I can say is that going north for dandee donuts or south for any of the great donut shops in Miami is much more worth it than wasting your money here. They also aren’t super cheap like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme because it was 11 dollars for the donuts not counting the apple fritter which I added after. I tried a range of their different options and not a single one made me happy about what I was tasting. Vastly disappointed again the only reasons I’m giving the two start is because they have a lot of options and they are nice people. Please go anywhere...
Read moreThough I enjoy their baked goods I found my experience today dreadful. I asked them about a particular product the strawberry croissant at that point the conversation kind of slid downhill. I placed my order and went to pay. I am in an electric wheelchair and I am also legally blind. One of the bakers if not the owner I don’t know who, said to me the price and said you have to swipe the card I said I can’t swipe the card I can’t see the machine he then pointed to the machine and I said I’m blind. He then said well you have to swipe the card he made no attempt whatsoever to assist me in the payment of the swipe machine. I told him that this was not a good situation for someone disabled. I told him to close his eyes which he did and I said what do you see, he said I see nothing. I said that’s what I see. Then he became so upset he escorted me to the door and I was quite angry and told him that I would go on every media that I could find to tell everyone how insensitive they are to the disabled. For a company called the pink love doughnut they would do much better by calling it the pink love...
