UPDATED REVIEW: Chased Down the Street Over a COMPLIMENTARY 4oz Water Bottle!! — Management’s Denials Don’t Hold Up.
(Direct response to the owner’s comment):
It’s remarkable how certain you are about who I am on your footage—especially when you can’t even specify the date this incident supposedly occurred.
Such confident assumptions, without ever contacting me or reviewing the situation beyond your own convenience, come across as not just arrogant but dismissive.
Regarding your claim the owner was not on-site:
A man between 40 and 60 years old was present and stationed at the front of the store during our entire 15–20 minute visit. Only as we were leaving did he briefly engage with us—no more than 15 seconds—and no restroom was used, contrary to your fabricated claim.
On staff not following or exiting the store:
This is demonstrably false. The same individual followed us out of the store and pursued us into the parking lot, yelling aggressively about a single 4oz water bottle. His behavior was alarming enough that I felt compelled to lock myself inside the car. If your cameras truly missed this, it raises questions about your surveillance coverage. Nearby businesses or street cameras might tell a different story—something to keep in mind should anyone seek the full truth.
The assertion that we only entered to use the restroom and take water: This is entirely inaccurate. We spent 15–20 minutes thoroughly browsing your inventory, searching for furniture for our new home. When we found nothing suitable, we took one of the dozens of small water bottles prominently displayed at the front. Given their placement, it was reasonable to assume they were complimentary for customers.
Finally, your “contact us” invitation is hollow WITHOUT actual contact details—a clear COPY-AND-PASTE response that serves only to deflect accountability and mislead the public which is gross in itself.
Let this be a lesson for you and how your employees handle customer service instead of coming at the victim.
The truth is out, and anyone reading should consider this CAREFULLY before engaging with this business. Keep in mind, this entire Google Review battle with ownership is over a 4oz complimentary water bottle.......
Response from the owner (a day ago): In case they delete their original comment to my original review
After reviewing our security footage from the day in question, we confirmed three key points:
The owner was not on‑site at any time during your brief visit. No staff member followed—or even exited the store after—you. The video shows you entered only to use the restroom and pick up a complimentary water before leaving, without browsing or speaking to our team.
Because of that, it appears this incident did not occur as described. If you believe we’ve misunderstood the situation, please contact me directly at [phone/email] so we can discuss it further.
Thank you My Original Review: Absolute rudest consignment store owner I've ever come into contact with.
The store had dozens of free teeny tiny water bottles at the front for customers, so after looking at the selection for 20 minutes before we left, my boyfriend grabbed one.
The owner CHASED us down the street SCREAMING at us that it was HIS water bottle and we needed to return it to him at once.
Their furniture is ugly, old, and extremely overpriced for the piece of junk you want. AVOID AT...
Read moreI had an amazing experience with Troy his customer service was excellent and went above and beyond expectation. He showed me some truly amazing pieces. Walked me through the entire place and just all out being amazing at what he did. The only blemish of my experience was a male of Latin descent yelling across the room (so utterly tacky) at me saying he didn’t know why I had a Versace blanket in my hands when it was sold already when it actually wasn’t then when he was told it wasn’t sold he again very loudly said but it’s also $500 (I got the insinuation loud and clear.) If I hadn’t fallen in love with the living room set there I would have taken my business else where but Troy truly was exceptional and I won’t let someone’s ignorance, lack of professionalism, and home training, ruin Troys sale and my impeccable living room choices. There was also a nice man working by the jewelry counter in comfy work out gear who was equally as amazing and kind and another gentleman in a polo who was also very nice and welcoming. This store has one of a kind pieces from furniture to jewelry classic fireplaces and more. If you adore French provincial furniture and one of a kind finds I highly suggest this place and...
Read moreSnooty Fox Consignment - Oakland Park, FL I strongly advise against doing business with Snooty Fox Consignment. My experience with their shady tactics has been nothing short of unacceptable. I entrusted them with my items, which they sold, but they refused to pay me the money owed. I live out of state and was informed that I had to physically come into their store to collect my payment—an absurd and unprofessional policy. They claimed you only have 90 days to pick up a check from them, which is an unreasonable and unfair restriction as they stated to give them time to sell the items. Absolutely zero communication from them when items actually sold. So how am I supposed to know how much money they made from my items without calling every day to ask.
Despite several attempts to resolve this over the past year, the business has been uncooperative and dismissive. As a result, I have filed a fraud report with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General’s office.
Save yourself the headache and avoid...
