Whenever we're visiting Florida we love to stop at Pollo Tropice it's usually our go to spot we usually we'll go there four or five times during the week that we're here. This time around it was different. The chicken was dry not moist and juicy like it always was. (We went to another location too and it was the same story there) On the different occasions that we went there this time around they had almost no sauces available we went at different hours the one time we went late in the evening they had no sauces available we figured fine it's late let's come back earlier the next day, we went during lunch time I ordered $90 worth of food no drinks just food alone for takeout asked for sauces and was handed 4 little containers of sauces more and their reply was they have no more but it's only lunch time it's 12:15pm in the afternoon and you're out. The customer before me ordered half of what I had and they filled his tray up with sauces almost 15 containers of sauces he was given this is how you lose customers. Another night we stop by late at night we looked at their website and they said that they were still open and it was an hour and 15 minutes before closing so we went in to get food. Big big mistake I should have just went to Wawa's. We walked in and waited for about 15 minutes before they took our order only two people in front of us. We put our order in and then oh I'm sorry we have no more chicken for this we don't have this and we don't have that. WHAT! MORE PEOPLE WALKED IN AND THEY KEPT TELLING THEM THAT WERE CLOSED THAT WERE CLOSED BUT ON YOUR WEBSITE IT SAYS THAT YOU'RE OPEN FOR ANOTHER HOUR, their reply was we're closed. Don't get the avocados they're not ready they're hard not ready to be eaten. We stopped eating in the dining room and just started ordering takeout it seems that no one is cleaning the place up at all. The place is getting dirty and stays dirty. It just felt filthy inside that we couldn't eat there any more and we had to take it with us. Very...
Read moreIf Only I can give half a star. We Ordered online tonight at 7:14pm. Per order email confirmation received the order will be ready by 7:24pm. I arrived in store at 7:36pm. Waited on the side to have the cashier to acknowledge me, for there was no other counter person to help. At 7:39pm she finally asked me if I ordered and I told her that I am picking up an order placed online, without even saying Good evening, or any courteous gesture, she straight forwardly told me to check the shelf for online orders. The order there was not mine. Waited another 2 minutes to have another person ont he counter to come forward so I can tell her that my order is not on the shelf. She then proceeded to check a monitor inside, and talked to the guy on the grill station. And she came back to tell me that for my 1 1/2 chicken order will be 30 mins. I told her that was not acceptable and with Not even an apology she walked away. Furious but I held my cool, and sat down on one of the tables to wait it off. 7:59 pm came, I stood up to check on the order. And still not an acknowledgement or any apology of any sort for the delay and wait. She then proceeded to the back grill to with a sour face, as if she was annoyed that I asked. While I stood on the side and saw the grill guy walk out with a couple of grilled chicken on his tong and proceeded to chop them in pieces and placed them into the to go packs. I got some sauces for the meantime, then at 8:06pm. The counter lady looked my way and told me " Here you go". No apologies! No Thank you for waiting! No Thank you for ordering!
This place sure lacks Customer Service Skills, and lack respect and courtesy. Whoever is the Manager for this crew tonight and for all crew for this matter needs to be retrained and be taught the importance of Customer Service and People Skills.
Will NOT be a return customer for sure.
I truly hope that the Pollo Tropical Management takes notice and corrective action of...
Read moreI just received the saddest 1/2 Chicken I have ever received in my entire life. It looked like it was old and reheated so many times that the chicken actually shrunk. The Yuca seemed like it was fried at least 2-3 times. The Sweet plantains were almost burnt. The rice had almost no flavor.
I spent $30 dollars for this meal which is definitely not cheap. I used to love this place back in PR. I haven’t been in years because the closest is so far away. I’m definitely not coming back.
This was so disrespectful, how can you charge me $30 with a straight face and give me this food? I was also on my work lunch break so I had no time to go back and ask for my money back. I only get an hour for lunch and I had no intentions of going through all that plus O was very hungry. I had to eat it but first I took a picture of the chicken. Look how thin and meatless the chicken is. The drumstick had more meat than the chicken breast! Lol. That’s a “1/2 Chicken”.
Absolute ripoff!
Take a look at that. How embarrassing to serve this and call yourself a chicken joint when you’re competitors are serving much better chicken.
You just lost a customer, disrespectful, and inconsiderate to hard working people.
The receipt said to do the survey and receive $1 off lol… keep your dollar!! Here is my survey!
I haven’t been so upset in...
