This was my second visit to a Twin Peaks Restaurant after an excellent 1st to their Hollywood, FL location about 7 months earlier. In fact, we drove over an hour to this Orlando location only to be disappointed at every turn.
We visited on Tues, 01 June, 2021, and I can assure you that I won't return to this location again! There were only a handful of customers present during our visit, maybe the locals knew something we didn't. We were seated promptly, but that was about the only highlight of the day.
We ordered two appetizers for the table and each of us ordered an entree. The Fried Pickles are recommended, especially if you have a cold refreshing beverage to go with 'em, however the Loaded Brisket Chili Fries were a disappointment. They might be decent if they were served when they were warm and without over fried, hard french fries, but ours were cold and about half the quantity you'd expect to receive for the cost and size of the serving tray (see pic). I ordered the Smoked Brisket Tacos specifically without the avocado component, but I'm not sure why the kitchen staff decided that I wouldn't want the Chipotle Mayo & Cilantro either, because they were missing on each of the three (3) disappointing Tacos. In fact I didn't even finish the last Taco because the brisket was so tough and dry and I was tired of fighting to eat them. The best part of this item was the Fire Roasted Salsa & Chips that comes with the Tacos. While this item may be edible at another restaurant location, I couldn't recommend that anyone waste their money on it here.
Then there's the service and beverage refills. The other member of my party not only hit rock bottom on his glass of Coca-cola, he got tired of waiting for our server to come outta hiding and went and got his own refill. While my refill experience differed, it was just as much of a disappointment. While the initial draft I received had more foam than one would expect from any competent bartender, the 2nd was absolutely horrendous! Take a look at the pic I've attached and the amount of foam that was present when it was brought to the table ... almost 1/3 of the mug is FOAM! Completely unacceptable and if this is the typical service your employees provide, one can only wonder what type of restaurant will reopen on the premises after yours has to close when customers take their...
Read moreMe and my family called around 11:30 to assure that the kitchen was still open because we primarily wanted to eat. Sat and placed our order before midnight. Praxton I believe was her name was our server and although started off great, ended off terrible! At this point about 12:30-12:45 weâre realizing everyone around us getting their food and still we havenât received any of ours. The table right behind us who showed up way after was even eating their food already. We all work in the service industry so we get it sometimes things happen but if she forgot to place the order over all be honest about it! Instead she continued to tell us litttle stories about people arguing in the kitchen and such! Then around 12:45 still says about another 10 mins for our food and then brings us out a basket of fries for the inconvenience. The manager was not understanding at all neither! And when we asked the server if the food was being made or not so we can decide to cancel she was quick to say âdo you want me to cancel itâ then that already shows the food wasnât being prepared. The restaurant wasnât busy at all for the situation to had happen. In the end we were only offered a coupon for a free chips and salsa. Then we argued for the bill to be comped which 20$ was taken off. Anyone else would have walked out completely on the bill yet we still had the decency to pay for the drinks we consumed! Over all terrible experience from the server and manager and will never...
Read moreWent in on Sunday Sept 22 travelling from Las Vegas with my in-laws for dinner. Checked-in around 7pm. As we approached the front desk, 3 girls were behind the host desk. Despite standing right in front of them I had to snap a little to get their attention. One of the girls to the far right had a very unfriendly ugly sour look on her face, not exactly the inviting face youâd like to have walking into a restaurant that didnât look busy at all. They sat us down at the most wobbly table in the middle of the restaurant. I wanted to spend good quality time eating with my in-laws so I went back & asked to be moved. Quite surprised they would even keep a table like that at the restaurant. The wings were fantastic! You have to be quite assertive to get consistent service here. I had to constantly call our server for basic needs like side plates & more napkins. Not sure if it was because I was pregnant & wasnât drinking that we had to be. Our mains came out and missed ingredients & were quite scarce with the veggies on our mahi mahi tacos. Again, the restaurant was quite slow for Sunday Night Football so not sure why there seemed to be any missed effort from staff. Our server eventually picked up her service & I tipped her well. Overall, was a disappointing experience for what I had thought looked like a great place and wouldnât recommend to others. Iâm sure there are other sports bars & restaurants along the street with better service, attitude...
