I used to own a spa and get a lot of massages. Over the past few years, I have started favoring Thai massage spots as I have found the therapists are almost always better, not to mention very friendly, and I like supporting local business vs. chains. I enjoy a posh experience, but the actual massage is more important to me, and whatever Thai spas lack in ambience, they usually make up in the massage itself (I understand there are many posh Thai spas out there, this was not one of them, and thats ok, as I mentioned).
So, when I evaluate a spa, it is usually a reflection of the massage experience itself. In this particular case, the rating is a reflection of an interaction that I had with the massage therapist as I was leaving. It's important to note that they ask for payment (and tip if paying by cc) BEFORE the massage.
The cost for a 90-minute massage is $105. I tipped $20, which is a little low for me, but still 19% and well within the norm. Had they had me pay after the massage, I likely would have tipped more in the $25-$30 range as the massage itself was very good, especially the hot stones.
When I was on my way out, it was clear the therapist was looking for her tip. I indicated that I tipped on my card, and when she found the slip, she told me $20 wasn't enough and that I should tip 25% ($27.50). I found this incredibly rude. I just wanted to get out of there, so I changed the amount of the slip and left.
I had been planning to recommend this place to my wife and kids, which would have resulted in at least 3 more massages in the next week, not to mention at least monthly massages for me. I'll be looking for...
Read more💰 Price: $150 for a 1-hour full-body massage for two Came here for a casual massage and left absolutely blown away! Petter is a true pro—his technique is precise, and he instantly identified my insomnia pressure points, working on them with incredible skill. Painful but so worth it! My friend, who usually finds massages too weak, had a therapist who even walked on his back—he said it was the first time a massage actually worked for him.
The session started with deep pressure-point work, followed by an oil massage to ease muscle fatigue. The technique was top-notch—steady, strong, and never rushed. We were so impressed we gladly tipped $50 each!
If you’re in Orlando and need a real massage, this is the place. Petter is highly recommended, and the female therapist is just as amazing. Only suggestion: please get some nice aromatherapy scents! 🤣🤣There is no smell in the room, but I think it will be more relaxing if there is...
Read moreMy wife and I went in for a couples massage, while I had an okay experience she did not.
I had a female masseuse while she had a male masseuse.
The male masseuse straddled her while she laid face down and “massaged” her shoulders quickly. To the point of it not even feeling like a proper massage, moving his body along with it. In addition when massaging her arms the man was lifting her arm so high that her chest would be off the table, exposing it.
Lastly as we were quickly walking out to avoid any interaction they called us back in to give them a very undeserved tip.
This was a very sad end for our honeymoon, and we strongly encourage young couples to not do a couples...
