Well it was completely dead when we arrived, and after the dining experience we had, we now know why.
When we went up the counter, the young woman with long dark hair did not greet us at all. As we were reading her our order she said nothing in response and even checked her phone multiple times while we were mid sentence. We had a friend order a drink, and when it was ready, the same woman placed the drink on the bar and turned around without saying anything. Keep in mind, we were the only people in the restaurant. When our food was ready, they placed it in the window and did not say a thing. After retrieving our now cold food, we sat down at the table and realized we needed forks, but there were none available. We asked for forks and after they rustled around in the back of the kitchen for 2 or 3 minutes, she came back with clean forks and restocked the fork section, without bringing us the forks we asked for. The rice was undercooked and hard, the enchiladas were not cooked thoroughly. Quite frankly, the only good thing was the soda.
After our experience, I went up to the dark haired woman and asked to speak to a manager, and she told me, "they don't have any managers, only shift leads." I then asked who the shift lead was and she told me it was both her and the blonde woman behind the counter. I informed that this was our first time coming to this restaurant and it was a horrible experience. Neither of them apologized for the experience we had and instead told us to "leave a review." So here we are. On my way out the door, I asked who the manager was and she told me his name was "Charles," although I doubt that was truthful.
Charles, if you're really out there, please fix your restaurant. We paid $50 for one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had.
UPDATE: we came in and spoke with Charles, and he was very understanding of the situation, and fully rectified the situation. We will give them another shot sometime down the road. All restaurants have off days, and this just one of those days. Thank you, Charles, for...

Kids aren't stupid, so I cringe when I see someone bringing in their school-age children.. Most of them figure it out FAR more quickly than their clueless parents do. That being said, for adults, a safe standard when you've been out all day and don't necessarily want to go home & get all gussied up before eating. Their nachos are more of glorified chips & queso-- heavily salted chips (like Lawry's seasoned salt) drenched in queso, further soaked in garlic creme sauce and very little other toppings. Too junk-food-y for me, but certainly tasty comfort food..but not Baja at all. Their salads, on the other hand, are plain but positively yummy and satisfying. their tacos are fresh and flavorful. Sign of the times: Their Taco Tuesday special advertises "ALL TACOS" at a special price, but then when you arrive, they have a laundry list of exceptions --which amounts to about half of the selections, if not more. Yeah, I get it that costs have risen everywhere, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be drawn in by "ALL TACOS" advertising, only to find out more than half of the different types are exempted. Feels to me like the crossroads of bait-and-switch and being nickled-and-dimed. That being said, Their ingredients, unlike Taco Bell, Rosa's or Taco Cabana, are actually recognizable, fresh and not overly processed (with the exception of their seasoned chips, nachos, queso and garlic sauce). VERY casual environment and often there is simultaneous tejano radio blasting from the kitchen, and rock and roll over the dining room speakers, all the while tv's everywhere. It's high stimulus to the point where relaxation isn't necessarily an option unless you're three margaritas deep. A few business decisions away from being some place I want to return with great frequency, but the staff there IS usually very friendly, which is...
Read moreWe’ve been to this Fuzzys several times, the food is good , people are friendly , however it’s a very very young crowd of kids running it. You get the vibe that the level of professionalism of the place only has the interest of themselves. There was also an up charge for certain tacos when you get the taco plate. Oh , and btw that’s in very fine print on the bottom of the menu on the wall ! 🙄 We were there just recently , and after we ate we just enjoyed watching the scene. 🤔 A large group of young people filled the dining room, I’m assuming the group and the staff all knew each other by the actions and conversations. They would all mingle back and forth and just before closing time some of the girls even went behind the counter to pour their own frozen margaritas from the machine, then top it off with a flavoring, then hold it up as to show off their mischievous creation to the kitchen staff. 🤫 lol ! Wow ! ““Sit in the dining room, dressed in street clothes with all your friends, and when you decide it’s now time for a margarita just pretend it’s a self-serve bar”” 🤷♀️ Lol ! So anyway, it was good for a quick dinner, saw how the place was maintained, but the other locations have this...
