I went here with my daughter and husband on our anniversary for the first time. My experience was awful. My husband worked late and we couldn't go to the restaurant we wanted because it was too far away and would be closing. He suggested this place for it's close location. I ordered nothing because I didn't see anything I wanted on the menu. He tried the chicken Flautas and said they tasted like grocery store frozen taquitos. My daughter tried the chicken taco and hated it. She said the chicken was all big hard pieces and didn't taste good. I was very unhappy and went to throw up in the bathroom. When I returned, my husband paid for the terrible food that they hated and said we're leaving. We informed the server from the beginning that we've never been here before. That's why it took us a while with the menus. My daughter was crying when she got her food. I was just wondering how they never sent over a manager to check on us. I didn't have the chance to request one, because my husband was beyond ready to get out of this place. I called 2 days later and asked to speak with the manager to tell him about our visit. He refused a refund. He only offered for us to come back order and pay again, then he would give us a free dessert. I was explaining on the phone that I don't want to waste even more money on food I don't want (I didn't order the first time) and that I can't have sweets. So there was no real resolution. Still just very disappointed and dissatisfied that this all happened on our anniversary. They have terrible customer satisfaction skills. He could have offered a refund or replacement food if we would give this place another chance. He only offered 1 dessert if we bought more food for a next visit. We can't have sweets. So after getting no where with a stubborn manager, it led me to write this review. Beware if you're unhappy with your visit, you mean nothing to these guys. Read moreI visited the FM location last night with a friend I haven’t seen in months. When I arrived at the host stand at 5:01 I was not greeted despite the number of hostesses. One was even cleaning menus in front of me and said nothing. It wasn’t until 5:04 that I was seated (with no one in front of me in line). Weird, but not a huge deal. My friend and I enjoyed our food and drinks and of course catching up. We paid out, tipped and continued to talk (mind you I paid $60 on my tab alone) for about 20 minutes. Then at 8:15 a manager came over to inform us he needed to know how long we planned on staying so he could update his wait list. I’ve visited this location numerous times and understand how busy it can be at times. We apologized and left. However, on our way out I noticed that not only was there not a wait, but plenty of available seats on the patio (and it was a beautiful night). I cannot believe that we were basically asked to leave after spending good money. I can’t help but wonder if I had been there with my husband if we would have been treated the same way. That was such poor service, especially after how long I waited to even be acknowledged when I arrived. I hope this message is passed along and that it doesn’t happen to another person who is just enjoying their night and spending good money to do so. Read moreIt was a Friday night and quite busy as expected. We were willing to wait. It is a favorite restaurant of ours, for our date nights. We were seated after the expected wait time provided had nearly expired. The host station was very organized. We were seated in a part of the restaurant - we had not yet been seated, in our prior visits to Gloria’s. Carolina was delightful. Always remained cool under the present circumstances. Never missing a beat. We were involved in our conversation yet, Carolina was always good to check in on us and share in our banter for a few seconds before, checking in on her other tables and the kitchen/bar for orders. As we were leaving, we were paying her compliments when she mentioned, this was her very first job as a server. Now, my partner and I both come from customer service backgrounds more so, from our former years in college. We could not believe what a natural Carolina was. Carolina is one of those special people - who know how to make others feel special too. What a great addition to Gloria’s. Carolina may have been the best server we’ve had at Gloria’s -and we’ve had some real good ones in the past 3.5 years. We will be certain to request to be seated in Carolina’s section when we come in next time.
