OMG I should have guessed what this dining experience would be , by how filthy the entrance was. Dang! It seemed that the glass doors hadn't been washed for at least a week. We arrived at about 4 pm, and a foursome was waiting to be seated. There were about a 15-20% restaurant capacity happening, and the waiting group said she was told a 20 minute wait to be seated. Finally the hostess arrived and we were told the same thing. After 20 minutes the group left and we continued to wait for about 10 more minutes. As the hostess took us to our table , she then had to wipe and cleanup the sugar packets and half eaten burger from the floor. We again waited for the server to arrive, placed our order and continued to wait and watch the horrendous disfunctioning of the entire resturant. With over a dozen associates happlessly doing their job. One entire wall of tables were work stations, and unusable, with chairs turned over on top of the table. The floors were dirty and restrooms a mess as well. The area outside the restrooms were used for boxes and storage. When a simple order was taken. The drinks and bread arrived with out silverware. When the salads arrived, I had to ask the server for silverware. The server lefted and gave us "plastic ware" and paper napkins to eat with. And of course one of the salads had a huge core chunk in it. When we received our entees. Both were correct and pretty tasty, but I had to ask for real metal utensils. She saided she would have to go roll some... i said i would wait. Anyway again as we waited many customers were having issues and the surrounding tables still hadn't been clean. My thought, Where in the world is management? Again the place was only about 20% occupied!!! As we left this sad and dank resturant , it seemed like more people were waiting for a table, then were being served. Never again, Longhorn Steak House has left a bad taste...
Read moreHad a very bad experience overall. We had a large group, 11 people; so I called ahead at 7:00pm. It took several minutes for someone to answer the phone; told them we had a large group, they said it would be 1.5 hours. Then I was put on hold and someone from the curbside pick-up answered, then back on hold; next person told me 2 hours and they took my name and number. The phone call took 12 minutes to put my name on the list. One hour later got a text that our table was ready. Once we arrived, the parking lot was empty, inside there were three hosts and the restaurant was virtually empty, literally 10% occupancy. Once seated, it took several minutes for anyone to wait on us, even though there were several employees laying around at a back table and still three hosts at the front doing nothing. We placed our drink orders and waited several minutes for our drinks, at which time we ordered our food from two wait staff (the only two wait staff for the whole place). 45 minutes later most of us got our food, at varying times; two of our group didn’t receive their food (chicken strips) until the rest of us had literally finished our meals. We asked multiple times about their food and were told it was done it will be out shortly, 30 minutes after we received our food, their chicken strips arrived. Of the steaks ordered, all were cooked wrong, apparently medium is the only way they cook a steak; also, they were extremely over seasoned, way way too peppery (I like Spivey, but this was overkill). Drink refills had to be asked for after empty glasses sat on the table. Nothing about our experience was acceptable; I expect poor service with a large group, this was horrid. Management of this establishment should be replaced and all staff should retrained...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to visit since we had a rare chance to eat alone. The staff was very pleasant and the wait was reasonable. My wife ordered the 6 ounce Renegde steak with the parmesan crust and seasoned fries, I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak with shrimp, rice and a baked potato.
First, let me say the meal looked excellent and was served quickly. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ends.
Both steaks had an EXCESSIVE amount of pepper, and I do mean EXCESSIVE! It took two glasses of tea to make it through half of my steak and that's as far as I could make it. My wife couldn't eat half of her steak because of the excessive amount of pepper.
My rice and baked potato were seriously under cooked. The rice was very tough as was the potato. I couldn't eat either one. The rice was also EXCESSIVELY peppered. The shrimp was good, no complaint with them.
I noticed my wife didn't eat her fries and I asked her about them. She said they were over seasoned and after trying one I would have to agree with her.
When we saw the waitress again I brought the excessive seasoning to her attention. The waitress stated the cooks are told to season everything boldly and further stated it was over seasoned for most people. I would have to say "boldly seasoned" is an under statement. I couldn't taste the meat for the pepper.
When I showed the waitress the under cooked items she apologized for them being under cooked and told us she hoped to see us on out next visit.
Management: You really need to ease up on the pepper. At least warn the customer the meat is this highly seasoned. Make sure the food is fully cooked before it is sent to the customer. This was the most highly seasoned steak I...
