I generally just leave positive reviews. However, we were at Hobby Lobby today around 2pm and had the worst experience I’ve ever had in that store. I’ve never had a bad experience until today. We were standing in line to check out. They opened a new line. There was one lady in front of us and (she just had a knitting needle) she handed it to Kiwan (cashier). When she handed it to Kiwan she was on the opposite side of the actual register. Before I moved over to the correct side of the register, I looked up and the lady in front of me walked off. Well, I thought she was done. So, when we get to the register I put our 1 item on the counter. Kiwan puts her hand on the item and slides it back towards me, points her finger to my right and, with the rudest tone, proceeds to say “SHE WAS AHEAD OF YOU!” —- At that point the lady that was in front of us walks up as if she were just coming in the store (she actually just walked around the other register to get in line because she was on the wrong side of the register). She said it SO LOUD & RUDE that the 2 people in line behind me were both saying “well, ok then, she’s awfully rude” so it wasn’t just us thinking she was rude. Kiwan was rude. At last it’s our turn! She rings up the item and gives me the total. And I said “that’s supposed to be 40% off”. With a big attitude, she pointed at the sticker and said “no mam! You see this sticker? This sticker is final price” and I said “Oh ok. I just didn’t know” and that heifer says “mmm hmm” like I was trying to get over on her for $9 off the item. So I pay for the item and she hands me the receipt. And I stand there for 5 seconds, I look her in the eyes and say “Kiwan, I hope you have a better day” and she just had this puzzled look on her face. And we walked out of the store. I suppose I might’ve surprised her by saying that, not sure. —- MORAL OF THE STORY: 1) If you don’t like your job, find a different job. 2) If you don’t like people, or you’re going to take your frustrations out on your customers, then you shouldn’t work in customer service. BE KIND… it...
Read moreCalled this evening asking if they carried the motors for the robots for a project, the lady that answered said yes, but asked me to hold to check. mind you I'm driving from Clinton, and I remained on the phone, made it to the store and still mo one ever came back to the phone. I walk in and head to the back of store, got a ladyla assistance but also voiced my concerns about being on hold for a very long period of time. She paged for management about 3 times before anyone came. David comes over finally only to inform me they didn't carry the item, but then asked if a called the right number and mind you again the music from your store is playing on my phone because I'm still on hold. Then he asked the young lady that assisted me to see if anyone was on hold and she said yes, line 1. He was nonchalant about the ordeal and a young lady finally picked up after holding for about 45 minutes to only inform me what was just told to me because I was physically standing in the store. Let's just say I wasn't a...
Read moreI visited the Flowood location and was very disappointed by the way I was completely ignored by at least six employees, only one of which appeared to be working. I stood in the back section of the store for about fifteen minutes, and was never approached by an employee to see if I needed assistance. Most of those employees saw me standing there but they obviously do not care about their customers. I intended to purchase a large wooden and glass picture frame with a mat backing, but could not get any help. When I was completing my purchase, the employee that was running the register was very polite and her smile is the only reason that Hobby Lobby got one out of the two stars in my review. The other star was for product selection. In all, the employees acted just as snobby and stuck up as their customers do. The nice young lady whose line I went through was the best part of that experience. I won’t be going back...
