If you're looking for decent food, good choice. If you're looking for decent food with good customer service, there's about 6-8 other restaurants to go to that will fufill that desire. 2 reasons why I wouldn't recommend this establishment. When calling to place a to-go order, the lady asked for my name and I told her and began to say D as in Dog and she interrupted me to tell me she knew how to spell my unique name. I was spoken to as if I was incapable of placing a to-go order over the phone. There were a few occasions when I was laughed at and spoken to with such disrespect that I wanted to cancel the entire order. (Bachelorette Party..can't really do that with hungry women..) When I arrive at the establishment, there was no indication of where to pick up to-go orders so I saw 2 young girls chit chatting about something and felt rude to interrupt their OBVIOUSLY important conversation.......... (although we were obviously guests looking for assistance) I finally chimed in and asked where we pick up to-go orders. The young lady said "we'll check on it right now for you." Not only did she not ask for my name, but she continued to stand there and discuss her extremely biased, rude opinions on a guest in the restaurant, AT THAT MOMENT. I then turned around to the bar and had to ask the bartender, who was extremely busy, for assistance. Next thing I know, I'm bumped in the back with my boxes of pizza and had the boxes basically pushed onto me without warning, without help to ensure I had a good hold, etc..even the friend with me stated how she would grab something to help me. The employee should've done that. On a real note, what would have happened if I had dropped the boxes due to not getting a good grip because the employee disrespectfully handed me my order. She then walked away before I could even check the order to ensure it's accuracy.
When I came back with our order and explained the story, the group was hesitant to eat the pizza due to being scared that something had been done to it. We're on VACATION. I get it's a local establishment, but that means that service should be so exceptional that people travel distances just to enjoy their food.
I just don't understand what's so difficult about taking care of a willing to pay patron. We obviously chose their business over the other restaurants down the main street yet we were treated with such poor service that I'm having to take time from my dinner to write this review rather than eat potentially ruined food. Which doesn't sound awful, but my...
Read moreLocated in downtown Folly Beach, we arrived at Woody's around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Parking took about 10 minutes to find a spot within a reasonable distance. You seat yourself at any available booth, and there were plenty free to choose from. The tables were clean. They offered both inside and outside seating. We sat inside where it was a few degrees cooler. The ambiance wasn't loud or obnoxious.
Our server greeted us, gave us menus, brought our drinks, took our orders and delivered food in a friendly, efficient and timely manner. She checked on us regularly, but not so much where it became annoying.
I ordered a slice of cheese pizza with pineapple and a sub, husband had the calzone, son 2 slices of sausage and pepperoni and daughter 1 slice of cheese pizza. The sub hit the spot perfectly; zero complaints and highly recommended. However, I prefer Chicago style pizza to New York; I like my pizza dough thick opposed to thin, and Woody's offers the thin crust. The slices are much bigger than I anticipated, equal to roughly 2 slices of a large pizza. While I personally preferred the sub to the pizza, the pizza was still really good, and anyone who likes New York style pizza will love it! 🫶🏻
Prices were reasonable and the restroom was clean.

Read moreI don’t review frequently but this pizza was excellent and I promised the delivery guy I would write a review. Worth sharing my thoughts as a new jersey native picky pizza eater.
The white pizza comes with the toppings I usually order as extras and was perfect. Plenty of garlic and ricotta and just an exceptional pie. If you have an idea of what a great New York/New Jersey style white pizza with tomato, spinach and ricotta takes like this is that! Thin style balanced crust so good I ate the crust first.
The white pizza was so good we ordered the next night this time regular with pepperoni mushroom and half ricotta half green olive. Again, great crust, sufficient cheese and quality sauce. Thicker style pepperoni too which isn’t even my typical topping choice. Pleasantly surprised to find such a high quality pizza restaurant at folly beach in SC and this is up there with the best jersey shore pizzas (and not...
