We visited with friends as a treat on a very hot day. We were shown to a booth and our waitress, Zero C?, took our orders. We chose to share the Brownie Bliss with Birthday Cake and Caramel Praline ice creams. Our companions went for the 2 Scoops Strawberry Shortcake to share. We could see the server counter to our right and as the ice cream dishes were created they were placed on the counter to be collected by the server. Ours appeared quickly and was brought over straight away however our friends' one took some time to emerge and sat on the counter for a very long time while our waitress tended to a group of 10 in a neighbouring booth. By the time theirs was brought over it was melting profusely and running down the dish and was clearly beyond it's best. Surely another server could have noticed it, asked who it was for and brought it over? I suggested they send it back but as we had nearly finished ours I believe that our friends did not want to cause us to wait while they had theirs remade, delivered and eaten. There was also a steady stream of people coming in and waiting for booths although most of the tables remained unoccupied which may have added to their desire to get on with it. Ultimately though, our ice...

Leatherby's is my new sanctuary, a place where I find solace and comfort. As a caregiver for a family member, I've been shouldering the responsibility 24/7 for a month, and the weight had started to bear down on me. When I finally got a few hours of respite, I knew exactly where to go - Leatherby's! Their unique blend of retro charm and calm atmosphere enveloped me like a warm hug. I craved comfort food, but what I got was so much more - nourishment for my soul. The staff's attentiveness was a perfect balance of giving me space and being present when I needed them. Their generous portions and reasonable pricing was the cherry on top. My waiter was exceptional, delivering top-notch service and drinks with a smile. As I savored each bite of their legendary house fries with real bacon bits and home made ranch dressing followed by a generous helping of peppermint ice cream, I felt my vitality slowly returning. It was a moment of pure bliss, exactly what I needed to recharge. Leatherby's didn't just feed me; they lifted my spirits, reminding me that sometimes, caring for oursleves starts with caring for others. Their commitment to serving more than just good food - but also care and compassion - is...

Food is delicious, well-made, good quality ingredients and a good amount for the price. While it is very noisy and echoey with the chaotic energy of a family-friendly establishment, the service here is EMACULATE. I hope the employees enjoy working here as much as they seem to, because everyone in this place was extremely cheerful and attentive, but not in an overbearing, pestering way. It was cute to see servers bend down to speak to children directly ordering their icecream. My server Grace was very friendly, genuine, accomodating and gave great menu recommendations! But even when she was off helping other people, THREE other servers not even assigned to my table asked me how things were as they passed by, all smiling. Food service is truly a soul-crushing industry so I hope these great workers are treated with the verbal and monetary appreciation they deserve! My cookie monster sundae was delicious, even the whipped cream is hand churned and you can really tell the difference in processing between this and grocery store icecream. Overall, great experience, but if you get overstimulated by excessive noise and lots of energetic kids running around,...

If you don't know about Leatherby's, this review will certainly not do it justice. It's a family owned ice cream shop/diner, that makes their own ice cream. Our first visit to this restaurant was during their "soft opening" 2 days before the grand opening. It was packed!!! The line moved quickly, and we were greeted by one of the sons (well, grandson of the original owners). When we told him this was our first visit to a Leatherbys, he said he'd make sure the owner stopped by our table. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. And yes, Dave Leatherby, son of original owners, did stop by. I had their specialty crab sandwich. Wife had tri tip sandwich. They did not disappoint, and the fries were just the way we like them, crispy, smaller, with a bit of seasoning! Healthy portions. But, you better save room for dessert, because you can't go to a creamery without ice cream! This is no place to go if you're on a diet, and we can't wait to take the grandkids here!!

1/21/24 9pm Came in for a rainy Sunday night ice cream and fries craving. A great place with a few menu items that could use a revision. We have come here roughly 5 times since it opened, and even on opening day a few months ago. There are many, many good items and a few that aren’t great. Our server was Scott W. who was very attentive and helpful. We ordered a side of fries and “Nicole’s peanut butter cup”. The fries tasted frozen to me (pet peeve of mine), but my girlfriend enjoyed them. The Nicole’s peanut butter cup had very little flavor or originality, and could use a revision. We’ve tried many other items here such as the sandwiches and other ice creams that were high 4’s or 5, just forgetting names of what they are as this was a long time ago. Fries 4/5 Nicole’s peanut butter cup 3/5 For local reviews or travel content, you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist

The staffs were very patient and friendly. With so many kids on the table, we spilled the water few times and every time the staffs helped us to clean up the mess with smile. - Jamie’s clown with cookie monster & toasted almond ice cream: it was a fun ice cream with generous portion! The cookie monster ice cream had big chunks of cookie crumbles that was still crunchy (not soggy)! The toasted almond ice cream was good and not too sweet. - Onion ring: super crispy and not oily! The rings were big too and it’s flavorful (not too salty). Definitely will order it again the next time we’re there. There is a window to see how they make the ice cream which we’re entertaining for the kids. And the staff was very patient to explain how they mix the ingredients.
