The impeccably rude manger of this pathetic excuse of an establishment decided to leave this reply filled with mere ignorance and lies under my review. So, I will address everything and tell the truth because I have no reason to lie. I paid full price for my food and don’t want other to make the mistake of coming here. once again GO ELSEWHERE!!
“Hello Adele I'm so sorry that you didn't like the lamb skewers and I couldn't let you return the food. You already knew there was no returns, however you did take the ramen home so l assume it wasn't that bad for you. Besides that, the restaurant smells very good, we have never had complaints about that. Most important thing is we cook our food with loveand dedication. Our ramen broth is cooking with pork bones for over 12 hours, and you were telling me you love the ramen, but anyway I'm truly sorry we couldn't make you satisfied.”
We did not know you couldn’t return it. We actually asked for a simple exchange as we wanted to support a small business that is clearly struggling. It was written in a small corner on the menu in fine print that I didn’t even realize until you had to squint your own eyes to read it. Why not have a sign somewhere? Or even just a bigger font?
Next, I never said I like your ramen EVER. I said I like ramen in GENERAL. When your manager (that barely could articulate what she was trying to say) decided to tell me “why did you order something you don’t like” I responded with “I generally like ramen, just not THIS ONE.” Clearly you are all not competent enough to understand basic English. Another area of weakness that you all can work on. I suggest Rosetta Stone.
You bringing up that I took home food that I PAID FOR was irrelevant and baseless. I don’t know what point you were TRYING to prove but you failed either way. My bill was well over $50 for food I couldn’t even eat. Food that was overpriced, and under seasoned. Very underwhelming to say the least. However, as I told your server. I decided that I would give it to the first homeless person I seen so they could at least have something to eat as I went to Phat Boy Sushi immediately after and had REAL ramen. Maybe she did not communicate that with you? Another area you all can work on. Nice try though! Do you not know that assumptions like the ones you so blatantly made are ignorant. I told you to your face it was disgusting so why would I take it home to eat? Haha. Why not mention my friend left her entire bowl . She took one lick and left the entire thing. Me being a food preservationist, I did not want to waste food or the money I spent so might as well have someone else eat it.
Instead of trying to be witty with customers on google , fix your recipe and train your staff on the importance of customer service. Maybe you’ll get more business. Your “restaurant” was completely empty in the peak of dinner time, rightfully so. Also, your restaurant absolutely stunk. It was almost unbearable. I decided to keep it to myself and just sit outside in 60 degree weather rather than smelling what seemed like a fish house.
Why not accept the criticism so your business can flourish? Hope you can do better for your business....
Read moreI love giving great reviews because I think it is very important and rewarding for businesses to be acknowledged but unfortunately, today it is not the case. Let me just say that I have been coming here since they first opened. At first they had a different menu and it tasted fantastic! I liked it so much that I would some times come two times a week and I also brought people with me since I recommended it. Then, one day I come back along people and everything that we had previously ordered, was completely removed from the menu. Apart from food being removed from the menu, the pricing also went up drastically. I was disappointed. I still came back but unfortunately, they stopped being consistent in every way. A lot of time passed and I decided to try them again. I ordered food for pick up and was told to come in about 10 minutes. My fiancé gets there and ended up waiting an extra 15 more minutes after the 10 minutes that they told me to wait for. I would’ve been completely understanding if we were told to come in 20 to 30 minutes but clearly that didn’t happen. Finally, he gets the food and I had my fiancé ask for the sauce that comes with the dumplings because if you don’t ask for it, they won’t automatically give it to you. It is the rice wine vinegar sauce and I know this because the waiters from previous visits have described the sauce before. The lady told my fiancé that the soy sauce is enough and handed him just that. Now, this might seem stupid for complaining for sauce but this place has just become ridiculous. Like I stated before, I got more than just soy sauce for the dumplings in the past. I don’t understand why that was said when I know that I am not making this up. The restaurant has always provided this before and now it seems to be a problem. I am already paying a lot for this meal for something so small as sauce not be given. I was not asking for much. I wanted to love this place but I now know that I won’t return. I am also a small business owner and strive in customer service and I understand that this industry is not easy and everything has become expensive but this place really lost...
Read moreI have given Ichimora multiple chances, but unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently disappointing. I work nearby and have ordered from them a few times, typically sticking to the vegetable fried rice. However, this is the third and final time that my order was incorrect, prepared differently than expected, and not what I originally requested. Additionally, the pricing has been inconsistent—both online and in person, their lunch specials are advertised as $12.95, and without tofu, it should be $10. Yet, all I asked for was tofu without sauce, and I was charged $17.
The fried rice I received this time was noticeably different from their usual preparation. It had a hard texture, tasted like brown rice, and left an unpleasant aftertaste. If you’re familiar with Ichimora, you’d recognize that this is not their standard quality. It’s Valentine’s Day, and all I wanted was to treat myself—now I’m stuck with food that doesn’t taste good. (Compare my picture with others of their fried rice—it’s clearly not the same.)
Beyond the food, my experiences with their service have not been positive. Each time I visit, I don’t feel welcomed. The staff often looks me up and down, appears reluctant to take orders, steps away from the counter, and takes a long time to answer the phone. Despite these experiences, I continued to give them chances, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, I now regret wasting my money.
After expressing my dissatisfaction, they did offer to remake the dish, but they couldn’t guarantee it would turn out the same, as they’ve apparently changed their preparation method. This lack of consistency is disappointing and frustrating as a paying customer.
At this point, I do not feel that my business is valued here, which only adds to my disappointment. If you want to try Ichimora, I would recommend going once and forming your own opinion. However, based on my experiences, I cannot confidently recommend this restaurant to others.
I truly wish things had been different, but after multiple visits, I can no longer...
