Agree with others. Came today as proof of concept since I was at the bank. Parking is obviously brutal if you’re coming here just for sandwich. Menu is very confusing. People working here were struggling at every step of the way. Person making the subs was super nice and the only one working at 100%. It is not advertised anywhere that all subs come with LTO and provalone cheese. All three people waiting for subs including me mentioned something when I saw person making them all the same way and inquire how they knew what I wanted on it. Management needs to definitely provide some training and I would say supervise the throughput until it is streamlined. Everyone including me had been waiting 15-20 min for a sandwich. Not ideal during lunch breaks.
Sub was decent. Somewhere between a Wawa sub and a Publix sub in rankings. Waffle fries were solid. Good flavor and fresh. Had to wait an extra 5 min for those too though since person working didn’t have the foresight to make them while I was waiting 15 min for the sub.
Place was super clean. Lots of seating.
Value was meh. $19 for an 8 inch sub, waffle fries and a drink.
My rec, stick with Publix until the reviews here reflect a seamless experience or DoorDash what you want if you don’t want to wait 15-20...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled after my most recent visit to Johnny’s Hungry Hoagies. This used to be one of my favorite spots to bring clients for lunch, but something has definitely changed — and not for the better.
The customer service was incredibly disappointing. The staff (which are mostly young kids) seemed disorganized and uninterested, and it took forever just to get someone’s attention. When we finally did, the attitude was cold at best, and borderline rude. It felt like we were bothering and interrupting their conversations amongst each other by just being there.
On top of that, the food quality has noticeably declined! Dishes that used to be fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared now come out bland, overcooked, cheese not even melted on a philly cheesesteak and look sloppy when presented. It’s like a completely different staff in the kitchen is running the place.
I honestly wonder if there’s been a recent change in management or ownership, because this is not the same experience I’ve experienced over the last two months. The decline has been sharp, and it’s disappointing to see a place that used to have so much potential fall so hard.
I hope things turn around, but for now, I won’t be...
Read moreI’ve been eating at Johnny’s since the day they opened and I have to honestly say this place has consistently been 10/10 across the board. Whether you’re craving an Italian sub, a meatball sub, a chicken parm sub, a chicken cheesesteak sub or even a DELICIOUS wagyu cheesesteak served with freaken champagne paired with the most amazing sides like their garlic parm tater tots you just can’t go wrong! The service is exceptional every time they literally make your orders so fast and the atmosphere in the shop is the BEST environment I’ve ever been in when it comes to sandwich shops. After all that I hope you’ve made room for dessert because even their chocolate chip cookies are SPECTACULAR. You seriously cannot go wrong with eating here if you enjoy a hoagie a cut above the rest. I wish I took pictures to post but forgot to take any because I was so busy devouring what is literally the most amazing hoagie I’ve ever had in my life LOL Absolutely...
