2/18/2018 I don't visit this location often as I live in the Hollywood area. On this day I was riding my Me-Mover along with the runners of the Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon. About 7:00 AM I stopped here to get a decaf, and like most (except for a select few) locations, they either didn't have decaf brewed yet or they don't prepare it unless someone requests it.
I prefer Starbucks decaf over Dunkin Donuts but most of the time I have to resort for 2nd best because most of the SB locations don't feel the need to keep decaf hot and ready. This time though, they didn't say anything, took my money (and the tip I gave them because I thought it was ready), then went to the coffee counter where I thought they were going to pour it into my glass. I was talking to another customer so didn't pay any attention to what the barista was doing, and when I finally went back to the cashier I saw them placing a filter in the machine, getting ready to brew some decaf.
NOT A WORD WAS SAID TO ME WHEN THEY TOOK THE MONEY THAT DECAF WASN'T READY.
Customer service at Starbucks is a thing of the past, in fact, it's "piss poor". And unfortunately for me, I very much enjoy their coffee. I have corresponded with their corporate offices about this, they assured me that decaf is supposed to be ready at all locations until noon, then if requested, they will either make an americano or a pour over.
It's such a simple thing... KEEP DECAF READY IN THE MORNINGS. Dunkin Donuts has it ready no matter what time of day, even late into the evening. If a store that is very much less customer service oriented like Dunkin can keep decaf ready, why...

Did Starbucks show the same courtesy? NO! Which shows their arrogance!
Earlier this evening I was treated very poorly for now the third or fourth time. I stood in line patiently while a man in a wheelchair had many details as part of his transaction. The staff was patient, courteous, and professional. Then my turn. I asked about the refill cup, pricing, etc. I'm 64 and although I am not in a wheelchair, nor are my physical impairments visible, I was treated with disdain, impatience, unprofessionally, and the young man walked away instead of clarifying the pricing for me. I then let the young lady know, she with dark hair and glasses, that both she and blonde co-worker have treated me poorly each time I came there for coffee. Impatient, unprofessional, abrupt, as if I were a bother for them to serve me. After three or four times I've had enough, especially since I have observed them treat others with respect and patiently answered their many questions about ordering options.
I will be sharing my complaints with all government agencies regarding this discriminatory treatment that I have received. Apparantly I don't appear to be a person that is worthy of the respect others receive.

Read moreI went to this Starbucks at 6:14 Am after coming from the Beach at Sunrise and A1A. I asked the Barista/ Starbucks employee if I could use the bathroom. She said "unless I was making a purchase, I couldn't use the bathroom." I placed my order for a small green with honey, then I asked for the code to unlock bathroom. She reluctantly gave me the code, as I was heading to bathroom. I was about to piss my pants. I was in and out, 2 mins max. She didn't even start to make my order. I guess she thought I was homeless and didn't have money or a place to piss. I asked her " How much did I owe her for the tea?" She range up $3.25 + .23 tax= total $3.48 I handed her $5.00 bill. All she had to do pour hot water in a cup and put a tea bag in it. It took her longer to complete order and transaction, than it did for me to piss in the bathroom. She displayed a pompous arrogant attitude towards me like she couldn't be bothered by customers at 6am. She needs to work on her people skills. Another employee and I were the only ones in the coffee shop, and she wasn't busy filling any other orders. I am very unsatisfied with poor service. I would Not recommend this...
