Dress Code Disaster: Cloudy with a Chance of Rudeness I recently visited Nube on a Sunday evening, expecting a delightful experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but. Nube, which translates to "clouds" in Spanish, clearly believes they are floating above the rest. The reality? They forgot their feet—and their staff—should be grounded. The restaurant enforces a strict dress code for their guests, which is fine. But here's the kicker: the hosts on the ground floor were clad in sneakers! Sneakers! It's like a chef refusing to eat their own cooking. When these sneaker-clad hosts informed us about the dress code, they did so with an attitude that could turn the sweetest dessert sour. They mentioned we needed to dress "elevated," but without any clear explanation. It’s quite the request for a beach-front, casual-looking rooftop in humid Broward. Expecting full gowns and tuxedos here is like asking a fish to wear a sweater. To top it off, in my attempt to be friendly, I called one of the hosts “darling.” Apparently, my tone was too colorful for his taste. He snapped back, telling me not to call him darling. If I would have been given your names when asked I would not have called you darling — Uh, thanks for the homophobic tip, 'darling.' Very professional. We tried to speak with a manager, who must have been enjoying their own cloud nine, since our request was flat-out ignored. Asking for the names of these oh-so-professional employees? Declined. Waiting for the manager for over ten minutes? Might as well have been waiting for rain in the desert. Nube might translate to "clouds," but their service is light years away from sunny Miami, where places are more than happy to take your money, give you a fantastic experience, and call it a day. Nube seems to be in a fantasy where clouds apparently mean attitude and unprofessionalism. To add insult to injury, this establishment is within a Hilton hotel. Shocking, right? It’s a complete disgrace and far from the excellent customer service the Hilton brand is known for. It’s like finding a greasy spoon in a Michelin-star guide—completely out of place. Overall, the experience was nothing short of absurd. The inconsistency in enforcing the dress code, coupled with a horrendous attitude and zero accountability, showcases a colossal lack of professionalism and respect towards customers. I sincerely hope Nube descends from their cloudy fantasy and addresses these issues to improve their service.

The place is gorgeous to be sure. The ambiance - well, everyone around us was having a fabulous time. Pro-tip ... Tell your server up front if you are celebrating a special event. I missed out on complimentary champagne and dessert, but was so upset about the poor service and strange treatment by the manager that I just wanted to leave. Also, if you aren't getting great service, ask for the manager and request a new server. While we were there, a couple near us did just that, and I should have as well. Unfortunately, I've read several similar experiences that I had. Probably could have been a great experience if we'd changed servers. Our waitress was completely absentee. We waited over 15 minutes just for her to come to the table. I ordered sparkling water- tap water arrived. We waited another 15 minutes to order our drinks and appetizers. The Americano was just a double espresso and was not served with sweetener or cream. The espresso vodka I ordered was extremely sweet. The empanada was amazing, but it was one empanada cut in half on the plate and called an entree. And then we waited and waited. Another server came over and apologized that she noticed we had been waiting a long time... When our original server (1) returned we explained we ordered with someone else (2), and apparently only heard the entree name and placed our order again. If the second server could have taken our payment we would have just paid and left, but 2 said that 1 had the check locked and that she couldn't take the extra entree off. We explained about the double order and the manager acted as if it was a favor and that she was comping us that she was taking the entree off- that we neither ordered nor received. Candidly, with such terrible service, and maybe it would've been better, had I just laid down $100 on the $75 check and left, or complained at that time and say that we would not meet the minimum nor pay it as we were waiting so long that our waitress never even took our order to even reach it. Either of those scenarios would have probably not left me as upset as now. Like the 1 star review for undercooked wagyu and all the other complaints about being discriminated against, or denied entry for seemingly no reason, we experienced the same, being ignored by our server, disrespected by the manager, and whomever it is that is supposed to reply to emails, doesn't.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! I went to nube with my girlfriends to celebrate the day before my wedding since I was staying at the hotel. I left my sunglasses on the high top table outside (because it was extremely windy that day). My friends had to leave after taking a few photos and my sunglasses were left on the table. ****Our server was great and lovey! I realized when I was going to bed I left my sunglasses. I tried calling that night but I couldn’t get through to them. The next day was my wedding day and we were getting ready. They were not open and I couldn’t get them regardless since my wedding was at 5pm that day so I left a voicemail. I sent multiple emails and they were all invalid and sent back to me. Three weeks later I finally was able to get to the restaurant, saw our wonderful server and told her how I had left my brand new sunglasses, I literally had bought them for my wedding, $186 brand new Ray Bans. She remembered us leaving them, I also have photos of them on the table in the background of our group photo (based on the pictures you’ll see how it was easily forgotten), she said she brought them to the host. The manager on duty, the hosts and the server all checked the office and the storage closet and they were gone!! How do you allow this to happen? Your staff is responsible for stealing someone’s personal items and nothing they can do about it. They said they aren’t here, well I’m not happy and will never come back here based on my experience. Such a high end experience while your staff steals someone’s personal belongings and the management says nothing we can do? That’s awful, I work in customer service and the least you could do was show some compassion and check your cameras!! A 10/10 experience simply just went to a 0/0 experience for this terribly handled situation for a bride getting married.

We went to Nube Rooftop for the New Year’s party. My husband bought the all you can drink package where we could drink from 9-11:30 with the option to purchase food @ $150 each ticket. When we arrived, at 9pm all the seats at the bar were taken. People who were seated did not get up the whole night. There were probably 75 people without a seat or anywhere to stand because the place was so crowded. If we stood somewhere the servers would ask us to move. We mostly walked around in circles. The vibe & music were weird, as nobody was dancing for most of the night. I need to mention, when we were in line to check in the hostess downstairs was still selling “standing room only” tickets. We made friends with another displaced couple who were just wondering. We were starving and the other couple had not eaten all day. The servers wouldn’t take our food order because we needed to have a seat. We waited for over 2.5 hours to find a seat. Nobody got up from their seat at the bar which did not seem fair because the reserved tables had a 2 hour tine limit. Those guests had to get up to make room for the next reservation. I talked to a manager to see if she could somehow get food to us especially because we had been drinking for hours on an empty stomach and since my friend had not eaten all day, she could potentially be over served alcohol. She responded by saying, “So what you’re telling me is that I need to cut your friend off!” Really? No! I’m asking to give you my money for food so that we don’t get sick, I’m not asking for anything outrageous. She told my friend that she needed to get cut off because I said she was being over served! Well damn, that backfired!! I felt so slighted! Sorry friend!! Luckily there was only 10 minutes left until the 11:30 drink package cut off time. She got her last drink! Whew!

We tried to made the most of the experience but the event was not run well. They sold way too many tickets for the tiny space and were not able to accommodate so many people. We chose to visit Florida to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. To ensure that we could toast our anniversary at midnight, at 11:30pm we asked for 2 glasses of champagne at $20 each glass—which was no problem! Unfortunately, they ran out of glassware and we were served champagne out of a plastic cup. Another guest commented, it feels like we’re in the ghetto. We left that wack rooftop right after midnight where we couldn’t even see the fireworks because there were so many people. We ate, drank & danced in the downstairs Hilton hotel lobby for the rest of the night. The music downstairs was on point and the vibe was so much fun. Who knew? The Hilton had it going on! Thanks for saving the night and thanks Florida for the great time!!

(I gave one star for food because I did not have the option for 0 stars. We were not allowed to...

I recently visited Nube on a Sunday evening, expecting a delightful experience.

Update: Management asked me to reach out via email and I did and shocker no response. This places is poorly ran…

Writing this as I’m currently sitting at my table. As a south Florida local I have to say, this is the worst restaurant/ bar I’ve been to in south Florida. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

When we made our reservation days before we went they required a credit card upon booking which is pretty normal for upscale places. Upon arriving to the restaurant we found out they were overbooked and sat us at a communal table that was along the side of the building with 6 other people…. After minutes of sitting down and waiting for a server to come up to us (which took a while) we noticed the people next to us were more than intoxicated. They were screaming, dancing, and jumping around. Now I would except this kind of behavior at a lower class establishment but not at a higher end place. In fact as the night progressed they were dancing, screaming, and jumping behind us and since we were on the side of the building their wasn’t much space for all that A nuisance behavior. There was multiple times they were smoking marijuana in the open and not a single staff member cared.

There were multiple times people would come over and take pictures of the skyline because it was a communal area. Now if I didn’t make a reservation that wouldn’t bother me but as I’m sitting their trying to eat my dinner (when it finally did come) I was the backdrop of their pictures because again it was a pretty tight area.

The food its self was okay, may have been better if it wasn’t cold. We waited 20 mins AFTER our food was in front of us for silverware so, by the time we got to eat all of our food was cold and not great. The drinks were good on our first round but I couldn’t even drink my second drink because the bartender sucked at making an espresso martinis. The service was extremely slow which I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by. Our server kept apologizing saying they are so busy tonight and overbooked. Which explains a lot because our experience was MISERABLE. We got half way through our meal and I asked my spouse if we could leave. The drinks weren’t good, food was mediocre, I wasn’t going to give them another dollar to their underwhelming establishment, the smell of weed was just unbearable. I will NEVER go back to this place ever again. I won’t be surprised when they go under before they hit their...
