This shouldn’t be considered a spa at all. It had a few rooms for services. This was so underwhelming I don’t know what else to say. I arrived for a couples massage with my husband. We checked in where I was told she’d take me for a tour then come back and give husband a tour…we rounded the hallway after passing 2 service rooms on our left. Then into the relaxation area which had a settee and a few chairs with small tables for waters/champagne. There were 3-4 ladies there so it seemed like that’s why we didn’t step all the way in. She then turned me around and headed to the ladies area about 50 ft away. She showed me the lockers, THE shower (yes one) and the steam room across. The bathroom had two stalls and some amenities to assist you. She showed me how to work the lockers and then said the tour was over…wow!!! That’s it? I said to one of the ladies who returned and she said yup. Whoa, I didn’t expect this from the Conrad! But okay, I’ll deal with it and head to the couples massage. We had a 50 min and when I say I was just slathered with oil, I mean oil was literally squeezed onto my back. And everything was just NOT good. I still was hoping it would get better, I got a salt stone enhancement, maybe those need more oil? Nope!!! I was asked about pressure once, I told to go deeper, I like deep. It literally felt as if my child was trying to lotion me. I couldn’t wait to get up and out of there. My husband, who doesn’t get serviced often said his service was fine. But he too disliked how underwhelming this “spa” was. extremely overpriced when we received the bill…$500+ WITH 20% off services. 30 for each of the enhancements and then 100 for the tip for both that was included. I just have never ever experienced such a lackluster environment or spa before. I’m going to book a massage when I get home!
Typically I’d say go for the experience but this isn’t that! I would’ve expressed myself at the spa, but no one even asked how was my service upon completion. Just yikes! For such a great hotel stay, this should be a quality space as well. I want...
Read moreLuxury hotel, most rooms are suites. Great beach access. Nice pool. Super clean rooms. Get a room up high (we moved the 2nd night) or you hear the loud pool music that is on til midnight (though the pool and bar are closed). Quiet area otherwise. Half the rooms look at the Four Seasons but most have some sort of water view. Most of the rooms have a balcony. We had a nice kitchen in ours with a large bathroom and sitting area. Great place if you are there for several days. Valet parking was super quick with a really great staff (at $60 a day). Most of the staff were pleasant and efficient. Pool service was really good. The Asian restaurant was really good but skip the Italian one (horrible service and run-of-the-mill food). Resort fees included bike usage and a place at the beach (with chair service). The gym is nice and modern. The common area is a bit small if you are waiting for a room, etc. There's a small coffee shop with food-to-go but lacks the usual high end hotel shopping or offerings. There's not much nearby so we frequented the coffee shop. The other hotels nearby offer more food and car rental. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. The suite made our experience...
Read moreStayed at hotel as a guest for 5 days. Spa service was underwhelming and overpriced. Booked a 50min stretch combo with eastern-western fusion technique, hot stone, and CBD cream with pre-added tip (by the spa's 18% auto discretion) for $272. What I got was a 50 min lotion application. This was after a 10 min inquiry of aroma choice (it was forgotten and mentioned during session) and identified problem areas (also mrntioned and not addressed). The steam bath shut off after 10 min and could not be restarted. The lockers locked guests out for 15 min all at one time after spa use. Made therapist and spa manager aware in real-time. I was asked if I'd like to rebook and gracefully and politely declined for above reasons. I was thanked for my patronage with no explanation or apology upon departure. Would not reccomend. 3 stars was a...
