Jake is a BLESSING! Honestly I don’t know how this hotel runs. They are so unorganized and it seems chaotic. Jake goes above & beyond to deliver an amazing personal experience! Jake is the reason I rated this 4 stars because he turned it all around with such an impeccable service attitude and doing the little things that mattered. For example some time after I checked out it was many days later when I realized I was missing some items of clothing, I called the hotel and asked if they had come across the items, I was told they would check and call me back that afternoon. That never happened. I drove over to the location and went in the office where the woman checked their lost & found items and told me to my face my items were not there. Despite having my room numbers and perfect description of the items. Jake was not there this day, so me knowing how unorganized the staff is I waited another day and asked Jake about the items, he immediately found my items, they were even marked in a bag by housekeeping from my previous room number. Wow!! Right? Moral of the story, look and ask for Jake any questions or concerns. No one else will truly care and they will brush you off.

Overall I will say if you’re on a budget but don’t want to sacrifice location then this place is perfect. Location is amazing, there is no incidental hold/deposit or extra hidden fees when you arrive. Now, on the other hand if you have normal-high expectations you’re going to be disappointed. Most of the staff is extremely unprofessional, impatient and does not care to ensure your experience and convenience. House keeping speaks little to no English and is rude and will bang on your door 15 minutes before checkout time. It was a hassle asking for towels every day, most days they were out! The rooms are decent but I would rate the rooms 2-3 stars. I did have roaches in one room when I first arrived, once I moved rooms I hadn’t seen any more. (I think it was just that room, probably left over from...

Overall, it's a really cool little hotel. Perfect for why we stayed there. However, there were some downfalls.

Staff: All were very, very nice and helped when they could. Most always had a smile on their face.

Room: Decent room ( I think we had what they considered a multi room suite) however the layout was very different. The key csrd entrance was only through the "main room (separate room with interior door)." There were 2 queen beds pushed next to each other in the living room area with zero privacy. The kitten was usable (we didn't have a need to use it) but small. The other entrance to the room was a set of doors off the dining room area secerued by a B type floor lock. Deadbolt and handle lock did not function.

Bathroom: There was only 1, and we made due. However, the shower had major drainage issues (i.e., it took half a day to drain after 1 short 10-minute shower). There was no exhaust fan, so we had to keep the window open.

Cleanlyness: Started out ok and fell off. Housekeeping would come in daily and make the main bed (bed in room separate from the others) and clean the dishes. That was it. We had to ask for towels, and the beds were not made. Pretty certain the floors were not cleaned either by the amount of sand and dirt on them.

Pools/hottubs These were great. There were 3 pools (we only visited and swam in the 2 closest to the office) and 2 hottubs (that we saw). 1 being a very good size right outside our room. They were cleaned daily and very enjoyable. Note, they close at 11pm (this wasn't posted, but the staff made it known)

Again, overall, a nice little place to stay for what we were doing in town. Had it been a family vacation, where more time was spent in the complex, I think the rating would be slightly lower.

One last thing, the lizards...

I’ll start with the pros, a quick easy walk to the beach, several pools to choose from, available during spring break. The cleaning staff provided adequate towels & linens upon request. The front desk was nice. That’s about it. I attempted to book directly with the hotel, but they wanted to charge $300 service fee/taxes so I booked online much cheaper with Expedia, FYI Here are the cons: The rooms are severely outdated, it took a good 5 minutes to get hot water out of the shower every night!! the room had such a strong MUSTY/MOLDY smell.. There was visible mold areas under the bathroom sink, visible black mold in shower. There was an unusable door in the bathroom, the windows were frosted over, but there was enough etched out of it in places where someone could see you through those windows, so we had to hang up a towel for the entire time. The window over the air conditioner would not shut all the way so there was about a 1/4 inch gap where it was open. The air conditioner filter looks like it has never been cleaned. Upon changing the sheets, the mattress cover clearly had stains from either someone’s accident or “activities”. Don’t be deceived by the kitchenette accommodation, it’s merely a tiny microwave and a mini fridge, I had to call maintenance because the freezer area of our mini fridge had clearly suffered from something that caused the inside of the plastic to warp, melt, and expose holes underneath. I was worried that it was a hazard, maintenance came right away and told me that they would have it replaced, it did not get replaced until a day or two later when I had to call the office & remind them. Door barely locks!! No peep hole! Not safe! Will...

I am a fan of boutique hotels. Got the chance to visit North Beach Hotel Village Resorts, which isone block from the beach. I am very impressed with this property. There are four pools total and two hot tubs. Several barbecue grills through the property with nice and clean eating areas. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. This is a must visit when you come to Ft. Lauderdale Beach. #northbeachhotel #villagelife
