W Residences Fort Lauderdale — Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

The W Hotel experience was great! From the time you pull up to the hotel, there's someone there waiting to park your car at all times, 24/7. Very well staffed must I say. The front desk staff were helpful in all aspects. They have a few front desks and all had immaculate customer service skills. The W is located off Ft. Lauderdale beach, so you can imagine the view we had. We had both view of the city and of the the beautiful blue waters. Sunrise and sunset is must see from the balcony. Our balcony stretched from the living room to the master bedroom. Very spacious. Our hotel room was a colorful blue and yellow. Clean and shiny! The W Hotel has a lounge/bar with DJ and great music. Only thing my friends and I didn't like was that there was a guy (appeared to look like a security person a suit who worked there🤷🏾‍♀️) who clearly gave us a bad vibe. He walked in, gave us a bad stare, walked to the bartender , whispered in his ear, bartender looks up at us and laughs. I dont know what said but it continued. My stay at the W Fort Lauderdale was mostly great, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. The hotel has a sleek, modern vibe and the oceanfront views are stunning. I rated the rooms a 4 because they felt a bit dated compared to the rest of the hotel’s stylish ambiance. I highly recommend staying in the residential tower if you can—it offers incredibly spacious rooms with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, and even laundry facilities, which makes it feel like a home away from home. As for service, I gave it a 4—while most staff were attentive, the pool service could definitely be better. The staff at the pool weren’t the friendliest, and they need more waiters. It was tough to get a drink while lounging or in the pool, and I feel like they’re missing out on a lot of sales because of that. I had never stayed at a W before but have been a Marriott chain customer for a long time and usually stay at the J.W or Westin brands. I will definitely be looking to stay at the W more often. Service was impeccable, everyone from the valet, to the front desk staff, to the pool attendants was always available and ready to help. The room was fantastic for a family of 6 and accommodated all the kids very comfortably, no issues with space or being too cramped. The location is great, right in front of the beach.
