I absolutely love stopping by Pura Vida on 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale—it’s become a weekly ritual for me before my Pilates class! The staff is always so welcoming, and the space is bright, open, and spotless every time. I used to frequent the Wharf location, but the parking situation was such a headache and Dania Pointe is a little out the way. (Although it’s their biggest location). Thankfully, parking at 17th Street is easy breezy, which makes the whole experience even better.
I recently had a great conversation with the branch manager and shared some ideas about expanding to Flagler Village (FAT Village / The Arcadian). That neighborhood is really up-and-coming with new high rises and retail spaces underneath—perfect for a walkable, health-focused spot like Pura Vida. There’s currently no fresh juice or smoothie bar nearby, so it would fill a real gap in the area.
I also suggested a potential location under the Modera apartments at Nova Southeastern University. That spot would be ideal for college students—same clean and modern vibe, plus the convenience of healthy food and smoothies right on campus.
Pura Vida just fits seamlessly into my lifestyle, and I’m excited about all the potential it has to grow in Fort Lauderdale!
Pura Vida would also do a killing if it opened up a location in 30a Santa Rosa Beach location. I frequently travel to a friends beach house up there and it’s the one thing their...
Read moreI had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Pura Vida. Once you place an order, there is absolutely no way to contact anyone at the restaurant. Their phone number goes directly to a text message system, which is absurd and unhelpful. Even worse, they don’t bother to respond to those messages.
I placed an Uber Eats order and needed to contact them about an issue, but there was no way to get in touch. This is completely unacceptable for any business, especially one that is part of a chain spanning Florida. Customers deserve to have a reliable way to address concerns, but Pura Vida clearly does not care.
The customer service is downright horrible and lazy. It’s shocking that a restaurant would operate this way, leaving customers in the dark with no support. As for the food—it was just as bad as the service. The quality was poor, and it was clear that care and effort are not priorities here.
I do not recommend Pura Vida to anyone. Save your time, money, and patience. With so many other options out there, this chain should be avoided...
Read moreI’m a huge fan of Pura Vida but I today I’m hugely disappointed. I ordered a Greek salad to go and the size was 1/2 if the portion I order in the restaurant. It cost $23.38 for what I consider a side salad. I will never again order to go and it is even more disappointing that they add a service fee and tip when you’re ordering take out. Why am I paying $3 extra dollars for 1/2 the salad and tip for what ? I got to my office and went to the PV in Dania and when I complained the Manager looked at me as if I’m crazy and said: what’s wrong the portion ? I told her that I order and eat in all the time and this was 1/2 of what it usually is. My husband loves PV but let’s be honest if I pay $23 for a salad with no protein I better receive a good amount of lettuce. I’m disappointed in you PV. We eat there weekly and my husband loves it. I guess you just lost 2 clients that spent well over $5,000 per year in coffee...
