Ooo Noooo this is a no fly Zone!. Beware don’t listen to these reviews or they were drunk or they reviewed a different restaurant also named Rocoos tacos cause this is not the place you go to for good food, good service or even tacos. Let’s start with the the service the waitress tried to talk me into getting guacamole with chips but i was hungry and wanted to dive into the meal, Apparently if you don’t get guac then your service gets blocked cause she didn’t not want to serve my table literary was going around the other way to avoid contact with me. As i see this waitress going around avoiding me i called her to order a drink it was so long that by the time she made it to me for the drink i no longer wanted it as our plates had arrived which was a long very long wait given the low volume of clients. That night like 4 tables were there and i don’t understand why it took almost 45 min for the food all while the waitress left us with flat sodas and never returned. i had to call her like a yellow cab in manhattan Aaa yoooo Misss for her to finally turn around and give me service. All of this to get shitty food!! with no seasoning!!! how hello is this mexican with no salt no seasoning the rice was not mexican rice no offense Ben but this is airport precooked rice just gross the beans were watery tasteless and the white sauce smells horrible still no taste the chicken that had a glaze still had no seasoning and i really felt as tho i didn’t want to pay for my meal it was an over all nightmare. I love mexican food and for this chain of whatever they got in the kitchen to pass this off ass good mexican food just shows they are not advertising the heritage or anything close to hispanic food for those of you that like good tasting food that taste like something other then cardboard which is another thing for such a high profile restaurants the take home container is a broken up cardboard box for beans and rice ? huh? i wish i remember her name as she was condescending rude and evasive just do your self the favor find a more authentic place to eat for your money your money is not appreciated here. Also the kids hotdog was uncooked just Yikes… I added pictures so you could see i was there but the food does not taste as it looks except for the beans as you could see are running...

Drink:

house margarita. Absolutely delicious. Would live on these if it were possible

Food:

Appetizer was chips and queso. Tasted ok, not amazing.

After a 16 minute wait the appetizer finally arrived. Chips were warm and crisp with a light dust of a spice coating (paprika?) here and there. Queso was warm and thick- tasted like it was squeezed out of a bag: overtly artificial flavor and consistency. Not completely unpleasant but strong incongruent flavors present throughout. Also the chips, guac and queso comes with a cup of massive vegetable chunks for some reason? I don’t know what to dip my firewood-size logs of cucumber, pepper and carrot in: queso? Guac? Salsa? They seemed like an odd-one-out exercise or a practical joke. One could perhaps request an additional dipping sauce to stomach the gargantuan chunks of vegetables. Or perhaps simply look at them, never eat them and watch them be thrown in the trash.

Main course: fish tacos x3. Not good- dry, mealy, bland.

Fish tacos looked ok, if a bit dry. Fish was buried under greens and radish shavings. Upon biting into the tacos the fears of dryness were quickly realized. There was no sauce, drizzle or glaze to provide any type of auxiliary flavor or lubrication to the dry bite of mealy fish. After chewing for an extended time I finally got the bite down. Repeated this process a few times before asking for sauce from the back to baptize each bite in. Fish is described as mahi-mahi but seems incredibly dry, bland and mealy for mahi-mahi. More like whiting.

Service:

Friendly but completely inattentive. The lady behind the bar seemed preoccupied with two groups of her friends on opposite ends of the bar. Service required multiple gestures or other eye-catching maneuvers.

Atmosphere: medium- loud music pumping in a dim atmosphere keeps the...

I visited Rocco's for the first time the other day. My boyfriend had been here before and preferred it over El Camino so he took my father and I here for dinner. We got the guac and chips and salsa and then we each got our own main dishes. The guac is made table side and is fresh and good. Is it worth $15 I personally wouldn't but my boyfriend wanted it. I loved the 3 different kinds of salsa! And I appreciate the house made chips although didn't love whatever seasoning it had sprinkled on it.

I got the vegan al pastor with the Paow meat substitute. I always appreciate a place for having a vegan option and think it's important to honestly rate it for fellow vegans visiting. It was okay! I liked the pineapple salsa. I give it a 3/5. I think for the price and taste, I wouldn't get it again. There was one other vegan option - mushroom tacos, but I don't like mushrooms so I didn't choose it. I'm sure the side of beans is also vegan but I did not specifically ask.

My dad got a taco platter and that was slightly better because it had beans and rice and was still cheaper than just my tacos. But he said the beans had too much cumin in it and it was topped with raw onion so..up to your personal preference but he didn't like it and ended up not touching his beans or rice.

My boyfriend got the birria tacos and really liked those.

The server was friendly. The food took a normal amount of time. The atmosphere was normal until shortly after receiving our food and then it dimmed a bit too low. Which wasn't enjoyable for my elderly father. I would return with my boyfriend for chips and...
