Honestly even if I lived next door I would never come back here. Even if the food was free, the dumpster food next door was more appealing. It took over an hour to get California rolls and the waitress didn’t even put the correct order in. She mistook gyoza for California rolls… WTH. I asked her if they had soju and she looked at me like I had 10 heads. How do you own an asian restaurant and you don't know what one of the most popular asian drinks are. Granted, its Korean however, usually asian restaurants will mix the cuisines to bring poplar variety. The rolls were the most depressing rolls I ever experienced. First of all, guy making the rolls thought that these rolls were an online order and put them in a to go container, then after being told that it was for the restaurant, he took them out and put it nicely on the plate. Catch my sarcasm there..? Rice was overcooked, unflavored and disgusting. Adding sesame seeds does not constitute for the only flavor. Its called salt, it’s not rocket science. There was basically no crab in it, last two pieces had no crab meat. Basically rice and avocado. The ginger on the side was not fresh at all. Dark yellow and dry. I don’t like writing these types of reviews but how can you run a business when the food is vomit worthy and not authentic. The whole menu was customized to be American friendly and none of it was actual sushi. Honestly, I still don’t know how you mess up a California roll, its literally 3 ingredients and rice. Thank god that I didn’t pick any higher end rolls because I would probably still be throwing up while I am writing this review. Honestly terrible service and horrific food. Make sushi at home, as a amateur you would do a 100 times better.I I have never left a zero dollar tip but I will give a tip of advice for the restaurant, stop prioritizing your online orders above customers in front of your face. Also, go to Asia, learn how to make sushi the right way, a California roll is not even asian and it still wasn’t done right . I feel very sick after eating here. Looks like the health department will be visiting soon....
Read moreI'm a regular, I'm in the business also, I've visited the place with my girlfriend or my friends many times after work, but the last experience made us choose to never come back. Ordered my usual Spider Roll and Triple(my favorites). But the morning after I had to go to hospital and found out my stomach is infected from a raw fish bacteria that gave me ciguatera poisoning. It's been already 3 weeks I'm sick and can't run my business, beside the fact that there is no remedies for this bacteria, that is able to live in my body for MONTHS. I lost already 25 lbs and I still don't know for how long is gonna go. Hope the owners take more control on the employees, expecially the main lady that serves there many times a week, very tall and curly hair, ehich also has been very rude that night. Please guy watch out for this place, quality has been going down month...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE!! Their rolls are ridiculously delicious, super fresh ingredients and they have quite a few specialty rolls.
Last time I had the Sobe roll (Tuna, Avocado, Masago, Scallion, Spicy Mayo I/O topped with Seared Tuna and Special Garlic Truffle Oil Sauce - I freaking love truffles!) and it was amazing!
This time I had the “Shut Up Liz” roll and I cannot shut up about how it’s my new favorite roll! I don’t know if it was the crunch from the Fried onions on top or the perfectly portioned cilantro in the roll, but whatever it was I am obsessed!
While, there are other Sushi Song locations, I genuinely prefer this one. It’s almost literally a hole in the wall so service is super intimate and efficient. This staff is always really nice and have had the best recommendations for different rolls to try so far!
Highly recommend...
