Drove by this restaurant on my way to another establishment, and it looked so authentic and inviting that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for satisfying a craving for some pizza with an authentic New York style gangster theme lunch. I immediately noticed the very cool Machine guns used as doorhandles at the entrance, and upon entering experienced the very ought vibe and feel of a home style Italian restaurant from back in the day. I was immediately seated and after going to the restroom and getting a kick out of the memorabilia on the walls and caretaking in providing another experience of mob style bathrooms from the Al Capone era, I told my Server that I was in a bit of a rush and ordered it quick 9 inch margarita pizza with the Capone special cocktail. They were quick to bring out what I asked for, which I believe was more because of my mention of being in a rush (much appreciated), and less to do with the place trying to rush you out quickly normally. There was additional pictures and memorabilia on the walls which added to the experience, and the pizza and cocktail were very delicious and enjoyable. Service was friendly prompt and Pleasant. I would definitely recommend and visit again!

This place is all about the atmosphere. Food not nearly as fabulous as the decor. If you want a fun dining experience with food you could get anywhere then this is your spot. Wedding ball soup (which two of kids typically love) was not as good as canned Progresso. Didn’t taste or look homemade. Bruschetta was too acidic. Felt rushed. Balance of ingredients was off. Meatballs did not taste homemade. Tasted like frozen meatballs honestly, just bigger. I was really excited for the meatball appetizer but it was underwhelming. I split the pizza with the shrimp with my daughter. Taste was decent but crust was floppier than I would have liked. Cannoli (which I was told by the waiter had recently been revamped with imported Italian ingredients) was not worth the price. Tasted like a store bought cannoli except it cost more. Coffee was awful. An Italian restaurant should have great sauce, fabulous meatballs, good coffee and delicious dessert. This fell short. However, it’s a really fun themed restaurant in a fabulous location.

My daughter works here. I may be biased, but I'm going to be neutral in my opinion. We walked in, opening the door to see the handles of the large wooden doors, AK's (not real) which was very cool. After all it is called Capones. Opened up to beautiful brick walls, the hostess sat us, walking through the restaurant gazing at the interior with Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to a big red booth. The head server came over and introduced herself. Very nice girl. Our server was Anthony. Very knowlegable about the menu. I got the Baked Ziti, which comes with sausage (which I do not like) and he was happy to have the cooks make it without sausage. It was Delish! While eating, I could not stop looking around and gazing at the chandeliers and thinking how clean the restaurant is. Also, the Manager of Capones, Chase, came over and introduced himself. Handsome man that keeps the servers in line, and runs the restaurant very well. I was very impressed with the whole Capones atmosphere and the experience.

The worst experience I've ever had. First time in the place, I did order thru the phone to pick up the order and go due I was with my dogs and they told me the waiting time was 25 minute which I was okay with that. I get there half hour after my call and the blond front lady (blonde lady very rude and the worst customer service I've ever had from a front desk employee) told me that I will have to wait 5 more minutes, so I paid my order and went outside to wait, after 15 minutes waiting (now have been 45 minutes after I made the call to order) I speak with another front desk and told me that I need to wait 10 more minutes, so at that time I was very hungry and decided to dine in instead of to go. I asked that front employee if I can get a table outside due it was too many tables available and she told me yes, so I went back to the parking lot to get my wife and the dogs and when I went to pick up my pizza almost an hour later after I make the order thru the phone, the front desk blond lady started been very rude, I asked for a beverage due now I have to dine in and she was very rude and helpless, when I asked for the napkins she throw the napkins in the table with a very bad attitude to my wife. We still eating and saw a server due I already paid for the food and beverages and she told me that she will speak with the server and I told her I don't have one (I understand that I order first for to go but if you know now that I will dine in before the food was ready, you can have a server assign) and I saw she went to the Manager and started making comments and point at us while we were eating. So at that moment we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to ask for the manager that told us because we order for to go we can't have a table but because they were not busy they let us know (don't know why I can have a table if they already know that I decided I will dine in at least 20 minutes prior I get the food) they should let us know before we sit but not been rude and treating us like we don't pay for the food or don't support. At that moment, we decided to let her know to get our drinks to go and leave even without finishing eating due how uncomfortable they make feel us. My family are business owner and there is no way they can let the employees treat the customer in that way. Every customer that go and support your business, must be treated with respect and if something that they don't know and is their first time they should explain it. Every customer that visit your business either is going to eat for to go or dine in, are supporting your business and can bring potential customers in the future. Thanks of those customers that they going and support your business every day either dine in or to go those employees have a job who can take care for themselves or their families. There is no reason for us to be treated like that if we already paid for our food and beverages just because we decided to dine in for the time of wait that was your fault.

It will be my first and last time supporting this business due the disrespectfull and unprofessional customer service we...

Horrific Experience – Poor Quality, Cold Food, and Zero Accountability

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience with Capone’s Pizza in downtown Fort Myers warrants a strong warning to future customers.

I placed an order through Uber Eats, expecting a hot, fresh pizza. What I received was far from acceptable — the pizza arrived barely lukewarm, bordering on cold. Concerned about the quality and freshness of the food, I called Capone’s directly and spoke with a young staff member. I was informed that my pizza had been sitting “in the warmer” for 10–15 minutes before being picked up. If that’s true, either their warming system is completely ineffective or the pizza was never properly finished in the first place.

What truly disappointed me, however, was not just the poor quality of the food, but the total lack of customer service. Instead of offering an apology or any solution, the staff member dismissively told me to “just call Uber.” No ownership of the issue. No concern about the customer’s experience. No effort to make it right.

Capone’s Pizza failed not only in product quality but in basic service recovery. This was not just a one-off mistake — it reflects poorly on their entire operation and their attitude toward paying customers.

If you’re looking for a hot, fresh meal and a business that stands behind its product, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. Capone’s may rely on its downtown location and name recognition, but based on this experience, they’ve lost sight of what truly matters: quality and...

We went last night for a friend’s birthday party with a group of six. The evening started off well — no wait to be seated, and our server Shannon was absolutely amazing: attentive, friendly, and professional.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. During dinner, we saw a cockroach crawl out from the kitchen and into the dining area, right under our table. We ended up having to kill it ourselves, which definitely impacted the atmosphere and our comfort.

The food overall was just okay — nothing particularly memorable, and I’ve had better main dishes elsewhere. Since it was a birthday celebration, I asked if they did anything special for such occasions. I wasn’t expecting anything free, and I would have happily paid for a special dessert, but I was told the only option was a single scoop of ice cream. That felt a bit underwhelming for a birthday dinner.

The worst part of the evening, though, was the dessert. I ordered the tiramisu, and what I received tasted off — not just poorly made, but actually spoiled, like it had gone bad. When I mentioned it, I was informed that our server spoke with the GM and had it removed from the bill, which I appreciated.

Overall, I really want to give credit to Shannon for her service — she was the highlight of the night. But between the pest issue, the disappointing food, and being served what seemed like expired dessert, I can’t say I’d return or...
