What a great experience. Hubby and I have not been to an Applebees in a long time. We took advantage of their Veterans Day free lunch or dinner. Hubby had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the three cheese penne and chicken. Both entrees were delicious!!! The burger and fries were delicious, moist burger and generous portion. My pasta was fresh, delicious and I had leftovers for tomorrow. The meals were entirely free for Veterans and honored. It’s not something I take for granted but truly appreciate this. They gave us each a $5 off card for our next meal, so yes, Applebees, you won us back! Great food, great service and we’ll spread the word! I fell out of love with Applebees but I’m glad I gave you another chance. I was not disappointed and will look forward to seeing you again! Thank you for honoring Veterans and being generous. It was noticed and won these two patrons back!!! God bless the local franchisee owner, we highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Frequented several times, before 2020 BC (before covid). 'Twas a solid 4 stars. 8/16/22 AC I've returned appx 5 or 6 times. All but one have been less than average (2 stars now). I've even left once, after waiting for about 15 mins or more. Positive Notes: Greeter Heather was delightful & the sweet tea was acceptable. Detractors: 1) Burger was dry with an overcooked edge but with enough condiments, it was edible. 2) Mashed potatoes had several inedible, undercooked cubes. Also, somebody added too many "grass clippings" (parsley) to the potatoes. 3) Inconsistent experiences. When I was last here, the burger was great! Juicy & cooked to a near-perfect medium but they were out of mash. That's only one good burger, out of the last 5 visits. 3) Landscaping overgrown onto the handicapped ♿️ ramp. 4) An 87 health score. Not terrible but could be better. .. Nuff said.

I'm so confused I walk in the store at 9:16 to be told we are so sorry our kitchen actually closes 30 min before we close. Like what, your honestly going to close down your kitchen when your front door sign says you close at 11pm????? I'm really confused and actually really mad since this is the one time my brother is in town and thought we would get some food!!!!! Like it's not even 30 min before your close?? You didn't even want me to take it to go?? Like damn! Smh I won't be back.

Went to the new Applebees in Fort Payne on Tuesday afternoon. 2nd day open at about 3:15pm. Not real pleased and I'll explain: First, we asked for a booth and were taken to a table for 2 which has one booth seat and one chair. TERRIBLE table because it's so small. The waitress took all our menu stuff and the tablet thing that you check out with, and put it on the table next to us because it was so cramped. I had to stuff my purse against me on the bench because there was no place to put it. We asked to move to the table next to us and were told we could NOT. They were saving those for larger groups... but eventually a party of 2 was seated there and the waitress took our check-out tablet someplace else in the back. We ordered 2 appetizers.. sriracha shrimp and boneless wings. Both are on the 2 for $9.69 menu, but we think that we were charged the full price. I got a mucho sized top shelf long island ice tea and husband got a bud light. They brought the wings but I think they forgot the shrimp. We had to remind the waitress and the shrimp came only minutes before the meal. So... when they brought the entrees, we still had the appetizer plates and shrimp on our tiny table along with my mucho cocktail glass. Things were soooooooooo crowded and uncomfortable. I got the grilled Oriental chicken salad. I've had this a hundred times before at other Applebees. This one was very small and I asked the waitress if it was the full size. She asked a manager who said yes, it was full size. She did say it looked a little skimpy and asked me if I wanted more lettuce. What???? She would bring me more lettuce???? I just said no and I would eat it as it is. My husband got the fish & chips. Chips were good and fish was OK. It was battered coating. Cole slaw was the best part of his. When it was time to pay, the waitress had to bring the tablet back to the table so we could check out. She held the thing because there was no room on the table for it. She assumed that my husband did not know how to use it and she pressed the tip amount at 20%. It would be nice to have made that decision based on service & dining experience. I was curious about the amount of my top shelf mucho Long Island Iced Tea... but there was no breakdown on the screen for amounts. Also unable to verify if we got the right price for our 2 apps.... and we did not get a receipt. Our total was $54.00. This was only day 2.... I will go back in a few months and hope for better results. My biggest negative is the tiny table. They would do well to get rid of that thing completely. It is totally wrong for 2 people and really made it a...

I been visiting different Applebees' locations for the past 20 years. I never experience such a horrible experience like this week. I started going to this location when it first opened up and the service was great but now it is horrible. At Fort Payne, AL location last week at lunch time around 2 p.m. it was bad but nothing like this week. Last week food was cold, old and rubber chicken. Potatoes. were cold and lumpy. The steaks the first was undercooked but second one was better. It was brought to manager's attention. It was somewhat corrected last week. Today at Fort Payne, AL location around lunch time or 12:12 p.m. it would be negative stars if possible. My husband experience food poisoning at this visit. He threw up his meal after leaving the restaurant. It took close 30 minutes to get a drink order in at this restaurant. The waitress not that attentive to us it took forever get our drinks and food. Everything was so terrible I would not want my enemy to eat here. Today I ordered one 12 ounce ribeye with broccoli with mashed potatoes. The first rib-eye was overcooked and second rib-eye was raw. I did not order anything else on my part of this order. My son's order pizza & cheese sticks were okay and warm. The white queso & chips were hot & fresh. The boneless wings were cold and had be made up. Second time boneless wings were okay and warm. My bourbon street steak 8 ounce with shrimp. The shrimp was okay with the potatoes. The street streak was hot but tested like it had soap inside of it. This bourbon street streak was cooked twice and had soapy taste. My. Husband was sick also at the restaurant due to the soapy taste, bourbon street steak. Both visits weren't on weekends( Saturday) at lunch time. I think someone should look into how poor and horrible food was and service that was provided at the Fort Payne AL location of Applebee's Grill+ Bar. I not sure if I will return to this restautant location ever again. Do not recommend this location on Saturdays at lunch...

A very poorly managed Applebees. We arrived about 9pm, and sat for about 10 minutes before we flagged down one of several servers just walking around, joking with each other. The restaurant was not busy, and there were only 3 tables sat in the bar area, including us. There were only 4 other tables sat in the whole restaurant. I am a restaurant manager in Florida, and will not tolerate my servers ignoring customers. I finally got the attention of a hostess, by basically hollering to her as she walked by, that we needed a server. She acted surprised, although she is the young lady that sat us. A waiter and new server came to our table. When I told him we were a bit upset, he passed us off to the new young lady and never came back. Our server told us it was only her 2nd day working there. She took our drink order and was immediately back for food order. Her name is Madison. She was very pleasant, stayed on top of her duties with us , and did an outstanding job. We praised her several times. I told her I'm a restaurant manager and would not hesitate to add her to my staff. Our food was good, but we watched other waitstaff playing around together, sitting with their friends, and acting like they were at recess in school. I observed 2 servers rolling silverware without gloves. The young lady kept playing with her long hair, and continued rolling silverware. The young man who dumped us on the new server, was laying down in the booth next to the ones rolling silverware. Not once did I see anyone who stood out as a manager. No one checked on us to see if Madison was doing a good job as a server, not even the young man who dumped her on her own with us. I would keep Madison and hire a whole new...
