7/2/22: electricity out in neighborhood so I decided to eat out. I wanted pizza and QT didn't have any so I drove here. First time ever after 11yrs living here. My son toldme years ago it wasn't all that...but I thought since this space was new that it might be better.
Pros:
Consssss
I placed a specific order! Slice of thin crust, the works, no ham, extra cheese on top melted. Added garlic knots and a drink. Waited 30min and my order wasn't brought out. People were coming in grabbing call-in orders and ordering and I was forgotten about until I asked one of the waiting around staffers where was my order, she went to check and a cook came out and asked "what was my order." Like really? I told him then the young guy who initially started taking my order but got sidetracked by the fight brought out a order and kinda pushed it too me in a hurry. I was getting ticked and said some choice words! I checked it...looked right so I headed to my vehicle but something said check again, I did and it wasn't my order. I drove to the drive thru and requested they fix what I paid for. I was told by the young guy that they lost my ticket and just fixed anything. I call BS and I will be checking my card for fraudulent charges. Got my order and got home to taste bland pizza and garlic knots. I had to add my own stuff to both to give it some taste! (Garlic butter, tomatoes, Italian seasoning and cheese as shown in picture)
No I will not go back! 2 stars for the sweet young...

Party of three and an infant. This was a first visit for all of us. One had pesto ravioli, one had NY cheese slices, and one had chicken a la vodka. All of us had cannolis. While the chicken dish came by recommendation by our cashier, each of us were pleasantly happy with our selections. The one thing that could have been improved was the timing for all of the food to come out at the same time.
From the outside, the pizza shop appears to be a drive thru eatery that was repurposed into the wonderful business that it is today. They make use of the drive thru for exactly that. Drive thru carry out. The interior is a modest with back east decor. Pretty simple, but most importantly, clean.
The staff was friendly but professional. The cashier had menu suggestions and was good at staying focused on our needs with other distractions and interruptions. After we received our food she checked to make sure everything came out as ordered. She had to take a step back when I requested to please have the cannolis come out at that time. She made it happen though. I joked with her in a very serious tone that cannolis make or break businesses and she assured me we could save them for after our meal.
She wasn't the only staff with personality and a sense of humor. The main gentleman (server?? he was running food to all of the patrons), was overheard entertaining some of the children at a nearby table. Our busser was not all over us (urging is to move along), instead he refilled beverages and brought to-go materials as we had a relaxed conversation. Additionally he was polite and prompt to clean up as we departed.
You can bet we will be back when we are on that side of the metroplex.
In closing, I had the NY style pizza. The big, thin, delicious slices and cannolis passed the test. Until next time, I'll be looking forward to seeing if the Hysen's Nizza meatballs can hang with the best of 'em.
Kudos Hysen's. Thanks for a...
