Love Love Love this place. I walked into this place completely by mistake thinking I was walking into Starbucks which is just next door n well once I saw the beautiful display of freshly made deserts it was too late and I couldn't resist ordering something. I got a slice of their coconut cream cake n OMG it was by far the best I've ever had. So good that I returned later that same day to get another slice n well I decided to try the lemon cream cake as well as get another slice of the coconut cake. The next afternoon I returned again. The staff was very friendly, place was very very clean & nicely decorated, deserts are out of this world delicious n are beautifully assembled. I will definitely return again n again n again.
Update: Its been several months since I first discovered n visited this location. I have been to several different other locations located in Ft Worth,TX as well as several in San Antonio, TX. and let me tell you, none of the other locations hold a candle in comparison when it comes to this location. I don't live close to this location but I wish I did because this location is by far the best I've ever eaten at. I'm so glad that my first experience ever eating at a La Madeleine restaurant was at this location because had it not been here then I most likely never would've returned to any other location. I hate that the lemon creme cake is only offered as a seasonal dessert but I will continue my search for another location in my home town of San Antonio n hope to find at least 1 location that measures up to this 1 as I wait patiently for the lemon cake to return. Salmon cooked very well, and the green bean mixed with almond- it was so delicious! I was so happy to see their food quality was back l. But after two days we visited back, I ordered the same dish as I did couple days ago, the salmon was cold and the green bean tasted wired... we explained the staff, they replaced another dish for us---which I enjoyed it except the green bean again-- the greenbean was not fresh as it supposed to be. But anything else was great. This is probably the best non fast food/ healthy food restaurant that I like in this area. We will visit back again.
I donāt know what had happened to this restaurant. Before COVID it was one of our favorite restaurants in this area. Today was our first visit after Covid, we ordered chicken Parisian with tomato basil soup, and Basalmic salmon with steam/boiled broccoli on the side. The food came over, it was different to my expectation. The salmon cooked well, but the broccoli was giant like trees š and there was standing water on the plateā¦. the salmon and broccoli staying in the standing water on the plateā¦. The basil soup was used very good, but until toward the end of the meal and reminding them the soup, the waitress brought the soup, but she held the plate close to her face and also talking to us ,actually she spoke to the soupā- her saliva probably on the surface of the soupā¦.We didnāt have the soupā¦She brought coffee, and she held coffee close to her face as well⦠and she was talking, mouth to the coffee⦠During the time when we were eating, several fruit flies was flying around in the restaurant, one of those on my plate⦠Also this place asked us to pay tips before we got any service! Once I got my order, it was missing an item (broccoli) and I had to wait another 15 minutes. Once I got my order, I checked everything over saw the Beef and Parmesan Potato meal I ordered was missing and I appeared to get some thin burnt cheese inside a small metal tin. When I spoke to the manager about it, he told me, āThe problem is you ordered it to go.ā Excuse me! The real problem was itās missing the entire meal and I did not order burnt cheese. The manager continued to argue and try to talk over me in front of other customers which is extremely unprofessional. Once I realized the manager had no intentions of fixing the dish or offering me anything else, I requested a refund. As Iām checking the rest of my order, I noticed he gave me a kidās pasta and not the dinner pasta I ordered. When I asked the manager if this was the kidās pasta, instead of him committing and acknowledging it being a kids/adults, he starts asking me over and over if I ordered an adult or kids. When I grew exhausted and ready to leave, I told him I ordered the adultsā pasta and he proceeded to tell me thatās what it is then. I told the manager Iāve not been here in years since I last got food poisoning here and was trying to give them another chance. Clearly, nothing has changed. The manager told me, āThis is my fault. I donāt make the menu and prices have gone up so we had to cut back.ā Iāve added what I ordered for the potato meal and what I got, and the kidās pasta which should have been for an adult. My family and I will never be back. For $55, I could have gotten way better quality food...
