This is probably the worst seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. First off when we walked in there was no one at the host stand to show us a table. Then when the hostess finally showed after almost ten minutes of waiting, she asked which table we'd like and when we told her she said that we couldn't have a table in this specific area for some unknown reason. Then my husband ordered this crab meal that was $40 and was supposed to be fresh but tasted like its been in the kitchen for days and it was over seasoned with the wrong spices to hide its lack of freshness. Then I ordered this lobster broth pasta dish that smelt and tasted so bad I couldn't take more than a bite, and this was likely because the lobster wasn't fresh either. The meat in that pasta most certainly didn't taste like lobster. Also our waitress was very annoying when I let her know that I didn't like my dish. She insisted on getting me a new meal to replace the bad dish but she said that the new meal had to be cheaper, and once the bill came, I had to call the manager to ask them to take the meals off of our bill since the waitress was too incompetent to do understand that we didn't want anything to replace our bad meals and the only thing we took more if a bite out of was literally our drinks. I kept telling her I didn't want anything else and I finally had to tell her that the horrible taste and smell of the lobster pasta dish made me lose my appetite. Overall I wish I could rate my experience here with a 0, because the along with the horrible tasting food that is definitely not fresh, the bill was unreasonably large and the staff is very...
Read moreI was excited to eat here. I hadn't been to a place that had pan roasts since I left Vegas. We ordered headless shrimp and a pan roast. The shrimp in a bag were big, which was great, but they were not deveined, and the sauce had spice (we got the Kazaam or something like that), but not much flavor compared to Boiling Crab or Hot and Juicy. We were not offered anything to help it either. I saw other tables with cups of butter and lemons, so I asked for those.... Still not great flavor. When the pan roast came, it was brown, not orange. I asked the waitress why, and she said it's because I got the gumbo, not the pan roast. I explained that would never happen, because I never eat gumbo. She said that's what I was pointing at, then went to get the menu to show me where the gumbo was. I reiterated that regardless of where she saw me pointing, I would never order gumbo and came here specifically for the Pan Roast. She took the gumbo, and came back with a new bowl about 10-15 minutes later. It was ok. The lobster was as chewy as bubble gum, there wasn't a lot of flavor, but it was edible overall. It didn't help that the waitress blamed her mistake on me, as it made the rest of the meal uncomfortable, and she never apologized for the error or the extra time that we sat there with nothing...
Read moreTried this place yesterday. My wife had the Mix & Match (catfish & shrimp) and I had the Station Platter (catfish, shrimp, oysters, chicken & dirty rice). Both meals came with fries (regular or cajun seasoning) & hushpuppies. The food was well prepared, great temperature and plenty of it. Our only con on the food were the hushpuppies. There were only two and they weren't much larger than the marbles I used to play with as a kid. Could have done with fewer fries and more substantial puppies.
Where we had a major issue was the service. When we got there, there was a couple at the bar and another couple dining. The initial attention was good, until after the food arrived. Drinks went dry, no napkins and long delays in our server checking on us. I would have understood if it was busy, but there were at least seven employees on the restaurant floor and six customers. The bulk of the time the staff was huddled around a laptop. Not the best way to make customers feel like they are the top priority. Especially when they have sign out front saying "Welcome Fort Worth, we missed you".
Enjoyed the food, but will have to consider the lack of service if we...
