This was the first time my granddaughters and I ever ate at a Potbelly. We ate at the one in Presidio. We went to where we thought we were supposed to order and waited for several minutes, but nobody ever came. We went on down the counter and were ignored for several more minutes. A family came up behind us and the people behind the counter started calling out their order. We said it wasn't our order. They sent us back and this time someone was there. We ordered 2 original and 1 skinny. I told them to put the avocado on the side, not on my sandwich. On down the counter again, we tell them what we want on the sandwiches. I had to tell them again to put the avocado on the side, at which time the guy scrapped the avocado off my sandwich. We picked out 3 bags of chips and ordered 3 milk shakes. The total was almost $50. We found a table and sat down to eat. It took them so long to make the milk shakes, my youngest granddaughter was almost finished with her sandwich. We had to go back up to the counter to get the milk shakes. We ordered 2 strawberry and 1 chocolate, but they gave us 2 chocolate shakes and no strawberry. I told them it was wrong, and the guy actually huffed at me. I started to walk away and he told me to take the chocolate. I took one chocolate and as I was walking away, he loudly said, "I can't do anything with this one". I still wouldn't take what I didn't pay for. We finally got the strawberry shakes when we were completely finished and my granddaughter had finished her shake. The bacon on my BLTA was just supposed to be apple wood smoked, but it was heavily peppered. It made the sandwich unedible. The food was bad, the service was horrible but worst of all, they were rude. We will...
Read moreGrand opening today, October 27, 2015, in Presidio Towne Crossing just off N Tarrant Parkway behind Costco. , I'd never been to a Potbelly before. Think Subway, Quiznos, and Firehouse subs. What's different from those others mentioned? The decor is definitely more upscale. The bread is softer and more tasty too. They have various types of soup too. I had the broccoli cheddar which was awesome yummy. It did need to be just a bit warmer however. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was pretty tasty as well. The sweet tea was quite satisfactory. I had the tuna sandwich which had been rated very highly on other Yelp location pages and I like tuna. I didn't find it any better than at Subway. Perhaps Subway was a wee better. I truly had sticker shock on checking out. For just me, the bill was $16.08. YIPES. Ok, I admit I got way more than I normally would because I wanted to try out their stuff. And I got the BIG sandwich ($5.90) instead of the small one. I brought half home along with 1/2 bag of the bestest chips ever, Zapps New Orleans Kettle Style Bar-B-Que Ranch potato chips!! I'll go back to try their other sandwiches. I hear the "A Wreck and Italian" ones are quite good. Final vote: Still like Firehouse Subs best.
They do offer catering and in addition you can order online or with an App on iOS and Android and have your order ready when you arrive. They do have a drive thru window as well.
This Potbelly's is located between the Costco and I-35 W and can be reached on the I-35 access road or via North Tarrant Parkway next to Raising Cane.
Other stores just opened in the area include Target, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Shoe Carnival, Dollar Tree, Ross Dress for Less, At...
Read moreWe love Potbelly so much, and it is tradition to stop for sandwiches after shopping at Costco. However, today was totally messed up.
My husband and I both ordered A Wreck sandwiches, his was plain with just mustard and pickles while mine had everything except mustard, oil and Italian seasoning. They gave us two sandwiches with everything except oil and seasoning. My husband was disappointed. The issue is the hostess (on the receipt it said Host: 602. There was no name) had already asked us to repeat which toppings we wanted and after she told us our total and to drive around, tried to say something and didn’t finish. So when we got to the window she said she was sorry, but we had no idea why. We now have to assume she still had no idea what toppings and instead of asking again, put whatever she thought should go on the sandwiches.
The lady who took our order was nice, but she didn’t try to get our order right and it was definitely a letdown once we drove all the way back home. We live in Haslet so there’s no way we’re driving all the way back. Please ask your customers to make sure their order is right, I know future customers will appreciate this!!
My husband ended up scraping his sandwich, trying to get all the Mayo, lettuce, onion and tomatoes off his bread and attempting to eat it anyway. The actual sandwich...
