Listen, I was super excited for this place to open up. We just don't have options for many pizza places so maybe I let myself get too hyped. The pizza itself is fine. Its not amazing but its not terrible either. It's what the kids call "Mid". The first bite was nostalgic. I couldn't put my finger on it. Then it hit me. This tastes just like the square pizza slices I had in high school growing up!
The Crust- Its thick. Very heavy. No wonder why they cut their pizzas like they do because you will not need to eat many slices to get full.
Sauce- I got both the red original and the creamy garlic sauce. Both are fine... There just wasn't any flavor. No zing, no pop. Nothing special.
Cheese- Honestly, it tasted a lot like frozen pizza cheese. I know its not, but I couldn't help but wonder why there wasn't any flavor to it.
Toppings- They were good. Probably the best part of the pizza.
Pricing- These pizzas are really overpriced. I was expecting high end ingredients, five star taste and I feel like I've had better tasting pizza from a national chain for a fraction of the cost. The value just isn't there.
I will leave you by saying, this is my own experience. You should give it a shot at least once. You may have a completely different experience from me and it may end up being the best pizza of your life. Like I said in the beginning, it's not terrible, it's just not memorable...
Read moreI honestly didn't think a pizza buffet could be worst than double Dave's or cici's but today I found out there is. welcome to mountain mikes pizza on hwy 114 .my very 1st time at this pizza chain I walk in at 1pm no employees in sight. there is like 4 pizzas with mix match pizzas basically a bunch of leftovers from earlier pizzas they made. a round pan of dried up cheese sticks and a round pan of what appears to be some sort of apple dessert pizza that's also dried up. look at the chicken on this pizza it's basically jerky it's so dry. you can tell this been sitting and never replaced with fresh pizza. I paid she gave me a plate I basically stayed (20mins) that pizza was that dry and old a guy was in there also nobody said nothing it was me a guy and a lady in the dining room. they was basically non existing they never said hello, never asked if the food was ok no nothing. I knew it was real bad because the man walked in after me he got a couple of slices and never went back to the buffet he waked out the restaurant before me so he was in there 15 mins. crust cold hard an absolute waste of money never again. the man and woman employees though they didn't even bother with us like we wasn't even there or they rather us not be there such a weird environment this place won't be open long I can already tell...
Read moreFirst time visiting this place. We heard they had a lunch buffet and called ahead to see what time it ended. They said 2pm. We show up with almost an hour left before the buffet ended. First, the buffet is very small. Second, they only have room for about 4 pizzas where the buffet is. When we got there, they had a few out there, and they had been sitting a while. We asked if they were going to be putting out some fresh pizzas, especially since we just paid $42 for 3 people. She said yes. It was, of course, specialty pizzas like pineapple and ham and some other kind of specialty, which is fine for someone who requested that type. Most people think of a buffet with the basics. Pepperoni or sausage and so on. When I went back up to ask if they would be making a Pepperoni to put out on the buffet, she said no and looked at her watch. If you are going to stop making pizza before the buffet stops, then say that before people pay that amount for this tiny buffet. If you are going to try their buffet, then do it as soon as they open it. Otherwise, do not waste your money here for their buffet. Overall, it's not worth it. The pizza we tried was average. Hopefully, it will be better for you.
We will...
