So on November 22nd, 2022, I visited the Panda Express on Hwy 27 in Davenport, FL. I have always had the best of experiences at Panda Express (not this one) until this particular evening. I arrived at 8:30pm in time before the store closes at 9pm. I waited in line to place my order after the couple in front of me and my wife ordered. My wife got the last of the Beijing Beef and I asked the girl behind the counter for the same. This was at 8:40pm. I was then told that they would not cook any more and the kitchen was closed. Those were her words and not mine. I was amazed and just walked out and decided to call to talk to the manager. I was told be the lady on the phone that there was no manager present at the time and she was the person in charge. When I mentioned that I came in and asked for my order she proceeded to tell me that their policy is to make to order if they are out after a certain. This infuriated me as it was quite evident that there was no communication between the staff at this store or even worse they didn't want to do it as they just wanted to close up and go home. But in the end I had one person saying one thing and another something completely different. I’ve never known such poor communication from a Panda Express and wonder how long this has been going on. I usually eat at Panda Express for lunch when this would not be an issue. If I had been told this by the person serving up front then I would have stayed and ordered my dinner but because of poor communication and leadership, it was not to be. All I can say is unbelievably poor customer service and communication. I’m so glad the Winter Haven , FL store is nothing like this one. I think this stores management need to get to grips with what is going on internally. I sent a message to the main Panda Express Facebook site and got an apology from them explaining that this is not their policy but have not heard anything back from the store itself. I would not recommend this particular restaurant until they...

Was told it would be 20 minutes to wait for vegetables, and 10 for orange chicken. I agreed to wait, after all, I'm at their mercy since I needed some Asian cuisine. 🥡
Only 1 cook was cooking, and that could be a huge problem given the popularity of this place and the prime location. The drive thru girl, (Kaley?) started dishing up my order. This makes me wonder what the other 5 servers are doing with their time. One was sitting in a corner behind the counter - maybe on break? The drive thru girl 👸🏽 also happened to be coming back in when I left and she held the door for me. She and the cook get kudos🥇🏅. Having two cooks on hand would definitely help.
The drive through was obviously busy, and several others came in behind me including a large family. 👪
The food was the lowest quality I've had from a Panda Express. 🐼 We only started eating there back home about 2 months ago and it's our favorite place. THIS location can not stay in business like this. Half cooked vegetables, yet rice that had been sitting around for a long time? How can this be? Told they don't have chop sticks 🚫🥢, got home there was no soy sauce in the bag! Ahh... that's a tough one to believe, but there it is: no soy sauce.
Consider that the Chick-fil-A next door is a top rated restaurant (4.5 stars at the time of this post) and the WaWa next to that was so good we ate there twice in one day. I'll not be returning to this 🐼 location in the future. Owner needs to take control of this...
Read moreIf you enjoy buying food and actually eating it, don't come here. Literally took one bite of my food (not even 2 minutes after getting it) and spit it right back out. I love panda express but this was the worst orange chicken and fried rice, if not the worst meal in general, I've ever had. My husband's food wasn't any good either. It was just completely flavorless, I felt like I had covid again (I tasted the lunch I made at home so I know that's not it!). I went up to just get my money back for my food because my husband said he would still eat it because he was super hungry and they said they don't do refunds in the store. I asked to speak to a manager because maybe they could give me a gift card to spend at another panda (lord knows I'm never coming back to this one) and they said there was no manager and to call customer service. That was another whole battle. Also, my husband asked how long for the teriyaki chicken because they were out, she said 25-30 minutes so he just got something else. Not even 10 minutes late it was done, he would have waited for what he wanted if he would have known it wasn't going to take half an hour (granted it probably would have tasted terrible too). The only good thing about the meal was the soda. I literally threw away my entire bowl because it was that repulsive. I will say we didn't have to wait long for someone to wait on us and the bathrooms were clean. Update: I have yet to hear back from the customer service center I emailed. As much as I love a good panda express, I can't in good conscience give a company like this anymore...
