I am updating my review because what happened to me after visiting around 10 times is incredible! The service has always been ok, servers have been nice and in some occasions the owners come around to say hi. In past visits I've had carne frita but I wanted to try new things. In my last visit in July I ordered pechuga milanesa with mampostea'o and started eating when I noticed a weird smell, (had like 4 bites already). The smell was disgusting like something was rotten. I started checking the floor, the seats, my son's plate and could'nt find anything until I smelled the mampostea'o rice, the smell was horrible, and I was disgusted I had tasted that. I called the waitress and explained, she was embarassed and took the plate to the kitchen, I saw the waitress talking to the kitchen staff and to a lady and showing her the rice (I'm assuming she was the manager) she then came back with the plate saying that I was correct and the rice was rotten because it is something the cooks mix and pre made in the morning (this is a lame excuse because the kitchen staff have to make sure everything they serve is fresh and have to mantain prepared food at right temperature and for the allowed time). She asked what other side I wanted, I said tostones and I dont know why, I stayed with the same chicken and she only took the rice. I worked in the restaurant industry for 15 yrs and I know that if that rice made contact with the chicken, that chicken was not safe to eat at all, but anyways that was my mistake. At the end of the meal the waitress said that I have a dessert on the house for what had happened. I honestly took the situation very calmly and did not expressed how upset I was. I was there with my mother in law, my son and my baby who I am nursing. It was not until I left the place when I realized how dangeorus it was for me to have tried that rotten food. Also because I am nursing I got very nervous and had to evaluate myself and make sure I did not come up with any symptoms. Like I said the server was embarrassed and she did said Im sorry this happened, but other than that management did not acknowledged the situation at all, the restaurant wasn't even full, so there was no rush! In top of everything I got charged full cost of the plate! I used to come here and reccomend it, but they have lost me as a customer! This review is for people to beware of what they order and eat there and not to receive anything from...

I dont even know where to begin. As soon as we are seated, there's 4 adults plus a baby so we needed a high chair for the baby. The host tries to seat us in a 4 top and maybe thought about leaving the baby behind esle or something idk what he was thinking but we asked to go to a bigger table he refused. So I asked if we can put 2 small tables together and he said No..I was about to walk out at that point..There were multiple empty tables around us but whatever so he ends up finally putting the two tables together..Okay cool..Boom! We get there at 5:45...about 30-40mins passed and no waiter approaches...so we called a man over that looked like he was in charge at that time and then he sends someone over to greet us around 6:20 okay..see If i wasnt with my parents i would have definitely walked out cause thats just ridiculous..Ohh the story gets better..So we placed all are orders in at once since they took forever to greet us we already knew what we wanted of course...time goes by..the place is getting packer and no one is getting there food still...my 1year old is getting fussy...It's already 7:30pm and out comes the food. FINALLYYY...ALMOST 2HRS LATER!!! (I ARRIVED AT 5:45PM...REMEMBER!) Churrasco steak well done and chewy as I asked for medium to avoid those issues..but psssh I wasn't gonna wait another hour for them to remake it... and then I got some cold shrimps on top of my steak..yum 😒 The price we paid for the Service and food was terrible and not worth it $160 down the drain to leave EXTREMELY disappointed..This place has potential but with bad service you guys are going to limit yourselves to growth.I hope you guys do better in...

Me and my family have been going to this restaurant since it open in 2023, We aways bring family from out of state to dinner here, It is pricey, however the food was always great, This past weekend on Sunday after church we decided to take the drive from Kissimmee to have dinner there with our adult son who is on a wheelchair and my adult brother who is also disabled for a belated birthday dinner for my brother.. My Spanish can be better I'll admit that and I made a mistake and order a mofongo with carucho instead of churrasco, I told the waitress oh no I don't eat Carucho, I really wanted the churrasco I apologize and she said I'll have to get the manager, mind you I have to feed my son and brother as they don't feed themselves, The manager said she couldn't do anything for me because it was my mistake and not the waitress, I said All you have to do is take out the carucho and put churasco there I want the same sauce, she said no she couldn't do that. I tried again and said look we are spending a pretty penny here and this doesn't do you any lose, I did do a mistake by ordering the wrong thing but it shouldn't be that big of a deal, she said no she couldn't do because the waitress wasn't the one at fault. It did made me feel uneasy but I didn't say anything, I continue to feed my boys and left. I don't think I will be returning not because of the food, because the lack of empathy, compassion and customer services. I am still in disbelief this happen at this location. These are the reason why Puerto Rican authentic spots don't last open a very long time the lack of compassion and empathy...

First time. Great atmosphere, small but cute place. The food, however, was good, not great. Could be that they haven't found their way yet as it is a relatively new restaurant. For appetizers, we had the Vitrina or sampler platter. It was good and plentiful for 4 adults. We also ordered the Octopus Salad, which looked great, and the husband enjoyed it. It is a little pricey, though. For entrées we ordered the Churrasco with Mofongo, Churrasco with Rice and Beans, Asopao de Pollo with Tostones, and Pechuga de Pollo a la Plancha with Mofongo. It was all well presented with good portions. My biggest complaint was the Churrasco, which I specifically asked for "medium," and it came out well done! Ugh. It was so dry, so hard to swallow. It is an expensive dish - over $30 - so I hope they get the meat temperatures right soon or they are in trouble as there are other Puerto Rican restaurants in town that serve a great Churrasco. They could also use some natural orange juice instead of bottled. Overall, good. The P.R. food market in Orlando is tough as there are plenty of established restaurants and food trucks with really good stuff. I wish them well and will visit after a few months to see how things are going. Good luck!

El Kiosko 38 Puerto Rican Restaurant in Davenport is a true gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Puerto Rico to the heart of the community! From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. The menu is a feast for the senses, showcasing a variety of authentic Puerto Rican dishes. The mofongo is a standout, perfectly seasoned and served with an array of delicious options. The lechón is incredibly flavorful, and the arroz con gandules is a must-try that will transport you straight to the island. Each dish is crafted with love, using fresh ingredients that reflect the rich culinary heritage of Puerto Rico. The staff at El Kiosko 38 are friendly and passionate about their food, always eager to recommend their favorites and ensure you have a memorable meal. The vibrant decor adds to the charm, making it a great spot for both family gatherings and casual dining. Overall, El Kiosko 38 is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is sure to impress! Don't miss out on this culinary treasure in Davenport!

This place was recommended to me by a random person he raved about it. Let’s start off by saying service was terrible our waitress came to our table maybe a total of three times. The wife was so upset at the service she didn’t even eat her food there and walked out to cool off. Food was meh and it was expensive honestly I liked the rice and beans other than that everything else I had was not great at all. Tables are very small but they give you gigantic plates that end up not letting you enjoy your food as you will be playing Tetris. I recommend if you come with 4 sit at a table of 6. After leaving I got a sick feeling had to stop at a gas station because I wasn’t making it home and even after I was in and out of my bathroom all night. I do not recommend this place at all.
