Review for Al’s Ricos Tacos – Fresno, CA

Coming to Al’s Ricos Tacos is more than just a stop for great food—it's a deeply personal tradition for me. I’ve been coming here since I was a child, always accompanied by my mother. She’s no longer with us, but this place keeps a part of her memory alive. Every visit feels like stepping back into those cherished moments of my childhood. The sound of the grill, the scent of the tortillas, and the warmth of the staff—it all takes me back.

To see this small, family-run business still thriving after all these years is genuinely magical. It brings me comfort and reminds me of simpler times. Whenever I visit, I make it a point to order a little extra—for her. The tacos here taste exactly as they did when I was young: the tortillas are perfectly toasted, the meat is flavorful and tender, and the salsa has just the right kick. It’s rare for a place to maintain that same consistent quality over time, but Al’s does it effortlessly.

This spot is a true gem in Fresno. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the love, memories, and legacy behind every plate. I’m so grateful Al’s is still around and thriving. If you’re in Fresno and want to experience something truly special, stop by and grab some tacos. It’s comfort food, memory, and flavor—all in one plate.

If you're looking for authentic, mouthwatering tacos that hit all the right notes, Al Rico Tacos is a must-visit. From the first bite, you can taste the passion and tradition in every taco they serve. The meat is perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The handmade tortillas? Next level. Soft, warm, and the perfect base for their generous fillings.

The menu offers something for everyone, from classic carne asada and al pastor to more adventurous options like lengua and tripa. Don't miss the salsas—they're house-made and range from mild and tangy to bold and fiery, elevating every bite.

What really sets Al Rico Tacos apart, though, is the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or stopping by late at night, you're treated like family.

Simply put: these are some of the best tacos you'll find anywhere. Authentic, delicious, and unforgettable. Do yourself a favor and check out Al Rico Tacos—you’ll be coming back...

This place is actually a little jewel for anyone who finds her or himself in this part of town. The prices are amazingly fair and the food is really good! So far I've tried the taco plate, which consists of two delicious little tacos, perfect for a woman's palate, size-wize. Today I switched it up to the torta , which is a little more bold, as I had more of an appetite. It was great! Even though my heritage is northern European, I am suspicious that somehow, someway some Mexican got in there because I love Mexican food and all things south of the border. Well, almost all things. I've had my share of bad water, shall I say. What I was getting at , is that this little place has the most delicious salsa. The first time, on my tacos, I just used a little on the tacos, then drank the whole container of salsa. It's that good! With my torta, already knowing how good it is, I poured the whole container on the torta. Delicious! Go an enjoy this funky little...

This place is a gem nothing over the top, just genuine service and consistently great tacos. It has that homey, dependable feel where you know exactly what you’re getting every time you stop by. The tacos always hit the spot, and the wait time is usually a quick 7–10 minutes, sometimes even less. Parking can be a little tight, but it’s worth the minor hassle. Heads up they do sell out and sometimes close early, so it’s best to plan ahead. A cute little staple I’m glad to have found!

Definitely one of the best tacos I have had in my life. The place is small and there is no seating so you will have to eat in your car. For the price you will get a good size taco. Do know that there is a small .35 charge if you are going to use card so it may be cheaper if you bring cash. In addition, they great tortas and amazing salsa. They are usually open and may be close on days such as Mother's Day.
