We were excited to try this restaurant/bar after reading reviews, but unfortunately had a really awful experience. When we got there around 5:20pm, the bar was full, but the restaurant was empty. The young man hosting offered us a table inside or on the patio. Being a gorgeous day out, we opted for the patio where he seated us with menus and let us know our server would be right out. 15 minutes later, we hadn't seen a single staff person even though another table on the patio had clearly been served. Finally the host came back out and apologetically offered to take our drink order. As he was finishing, our server, a woman with a long braid whose name I regretfully didn't catch, completed taking our drink order and left. When she came back with our drinks, we were ready to order but she abruptly cut us off to return back inside. Once she returned, we ordered an appetizer and when I began to order food she snapped at me and said we could only order starters and drinks on the patio and "didn't anyone tell us that". Knowing this would be an issue because I have a dietary restriction that I order around instead of asking for substitutions, we asked if we should move to a table inside to order food, to which she replied "I don't know. It's a full restaurant. I'll just get you your appetizer and you can figure it out", and left. We were annoyed at the slow service to begin with, but at this point, I was beyond frustrated. She offered no help, no options, and no exceptions. Having been a server/bartender for years, this kind of rudeness, attitude, and poor service is unacceptable. This restaurant lost business, returning customers, and a lot of respect from us for this poor excuse for a server. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how great your menu is when your servers are the face of your restaurant and this one misrepresented the whole...
Read moreUpdated review: based on our last few visits I am changing the what used to be a 5⭐ review to a
2 ⭐⭐ review. The wait staff and manager treated us very well so they get 5⭐⭐
The food is a 2 at best. It is nothing special anymore. It sure has changed since they moved. It has even changed in the last two years. They used to make the best arancini. It was one of our favorite appetizers!! They were huge and served with a great Marinara. Sadly, this is no longer the case. They are very small and the flavor just isn't there. They're bland as can be.
Nothing we've had there over the last 2 years comes even close to how good it used to be. One of the last times we were there the cooks wouldn't allow us to change anything on our order. Not even on the pizzas. How do you not allow customers to choose their own pizza toppings?!
Since the big move to the convention center parking lot it's been sad to see that their oldest customers didn't feel at home anymore and have disappeared. Now I know why!
When we discovered Cosmo we thought we'd become regulars too and continue the tradition that we saw with their old customers.
Sadly, that's not working out too well.
Original review, immediately after the big move:
Everything we've every had here is great- From their burgers and Philly Cheese for lunch to anything on their dinner menu. I do miss the older crowd at the original location but the food is...
Read moreFrustrating experience after a billing error — still no resolution weeks later. What started as a great birthday celebration for a close friend quickly turned into a disappointing and frustrating situation due to poor customer service and a lack of follow-through. I was charged twice for a $50 bottle, and while mistakes happen, it’s how a business handles them that really matters. At first, Cosmos responded promptly, saying they would refund my card ASAP. A few days later, I was told their point-of-sale system didn’t allow partial refunds, but they offered to hand-deliver a check or gift card — and even offered a little extra to make up for the trouble. I appreciated that gesture and told them to just send a $50 gift card, and we’d be good. Unfortunately, that was over three weeks ago. Since then, I’ve sent multiple follow-up emails — all ignored. What started as good customer service turned into complete silence and a broken promise. I’ve given Cosmos every opportunity to make this right, but at this point, I feel misled and incredibly disappointed. If you value honest billing and responsive service, double-check your receipt — and maybe your...
