Brown Bear's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Fresno

I recently went to Brown Bear's Hot Dogs for the first time this last Friday afternoon and it was pretty danged awesome. The hot dogs are huge and the toppings tasted excellent, as did - of course - the dog, itself. Both of us were surprised at the low prices for such fully packed hot dogs.

I have to also mention that the service was exceptional, even in the face of adversity: There was someone in front of us in line - Drive through side - and they were so busy talking on their phone that they weren't even ordering, just sitting there, essentially parked. One of the staff came out and gave us a menu so we could at least decide what we wanted while the jerk on his phone did his thing - he even apologized, poor guy, even though it wasn't his fault that other guy was being a rude idiot. Once we got there, our order was taken quickly and we were served really fast, given all the toppings that needed applying! ;D

I highly recommend trying Brown Bear's Hot Dogs - if you're a hot dog lover, you will not be...

I don't know what the hype is about this place. My husband's favorite dog is a chili dog so I brought him here to try it because everyone says it's so good. The hot dog they serve is very good but the chili... from a can and tastes like it.

I had the Chicago dog. Again, the dog is good but it's their rendition on a Chicago Dog and nothing like the real thing. The fresh celery would be so much better if the chopped it up but instead they just put a long piece of celery in it.

Excellent gourmet hot dog shack. Don't be afraid to try something out of the ordinary like the kimchi dog. This is hands down some of the best kimchi I have ever had. And the classics like the Chicago dog are just as good. If you want a little of everything then go for the kitchen sink dog! There's a drive through so if you want a quick bite then pull up and order.
